We are looking for the Director of Creative Strategy for a growing company in the blockchain industry. In this role you will develop the brand across all channels. You will lead the global team to establish the voice and visual direction for design, ensuring the integrity of the brand across the company. Ideal candidates are interested in emerging technologies and entrepreneurial, growth-oriented environments.
The successful candidate will have a keen interest in building brands in emerging spaces, a passion for storytelling, and the ability to bring together and deliver effective assets to manage the brand.
Location: 100% remote.
What You’ll Do
- Design creative and production processes to help operationalize workflow, prioritization, resourcing, and production.
- Establish a ready-made set of corporate templates, assets, and toolkits to drive brand consistency and scaling of global production methods.
- Develop a streamlined creative process to execute all projects and campaigns, ensuring full alignment with brand.
- Establish the conceptual, stylistic and visual direction for design of the brand and all accompanying assets to bring the brand vision and mission to life.
- Maintain marketing and project timelines.
- Oversee the development of global marketing assets to ensure global brand consistency.
- Collaborate with and lead internal teams and agency partners, including freelancers and agency creatives such as animation, illustration, print, photography, and film.
- Set metrics to measure success (brand health/brand reach, global revenue).
The Quals You’ll Need
- 5+ years of experience managing teams.
- Superior communication and collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, familiarity with the role—having held a Creative Director position previously.
- Experience working across global markets.
- Understand /awareness of the local aesthetic and culture when creating local and global brands, e.g. type, color issues, symbols etc. for regions.
- Experience creating assets that drive emotional power and persuades action.
- A strong design and brand portfolio that demonstrates your ability to produce creative content across multiple channels. Online portfolio is required.
- 10+ years of experience as a writing creative in a marketing agency and/or corporate marketing environment environment.
- Detailed understanding of design, copy, video, and digital best-practice guidelines.
- Deep understanding of how to navigate ambiguous tech and start-up organizations.
