Job Description

Title: Vice President of Engineering, Renewables (Energy storage, solar, BESS)

Company: Energy Storage Start Up (PE backed)

Location: Remote


Overview:

Seeking a VP of Engineering to drive cutting-edge design and deployment of Distributed Generation (DG) and Utility Scale (US) projects. Set strategic goals for industry-leading PV and Storage designs, leading a talented team to execute projects with excellence.


Responsibilities:

  • Proven expertise in strategic planning and successful implementation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate nationwide solar construction, ensuring quality standards.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Define strategic goals for Design, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and SCADA teams.
  • Guide and mentor teams to value engineer projects, maximizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage engineering budget, talent acquisition, and personnel development.
  • Support innovation initiatives and provide accurate engineering analytics to senior management.
  • Master's degree in a technical field preferred.
  • Certification or experience in Quality or Process Excellence highly valued.
  • Preferred experience in operational management of DG and Utility Scale PV projects.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership abilities with a track record of leading teams effectively.
