Job Title: Talent Acquisition Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
Department: Team Resources
Reports to: VP Team Resources
Job Summary:
The Talent Acquisition (TA) Manager is responsible for managing the full cycle recruiting process throughout Proctor Loan Protector’s multi state office locations. This position will also manage all TA teammates including recruiters and coordinators. The TA Manager will be responsible for the development of the Talent Acquisition team by establishing procedures, selecting, and training new recruiters, and maintaining updated metrics. This position will work closely with the TR Team and leadership to determine staffing needs by creating development and recruiting plans, sourcing /assessing candidates, and assisting in the onboarding process for new teammates. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the attraction and hiring of the best possible talent to meet business needs. The ideal candidate must have experience managing employees in talent development, high volume recruiting, and leading recruiting efforts.
Essential Duties and Functions include the following. Other Duties may be assigned:
The Talent Acquisition Manager will be responsible for:
  • Serve as an expert for recruiting candidates within an assigned area/region by maintaining awareness of market salaries and benefits of local competitors and identifying staffing trends.
  • Maintain accurate record-keeping details in compliance with federal and state requirements (EEO documentation, AA, etc.)
  • Manages resumes and applications according to PLP/Brown & Brown retention policy.
  • Develop recruiting tools and techniques to assist Proctor Loan Protector in meeting staffing and placement needs.
  • Responds to feedback and organizational concerns and promptly models customer service and teamwork for staff. Has a direct role with managing external and internal applicant communication to ensure standards are met.
  • Coordinates the recruiting and on-boarding process, ensuring the collection of all required documentation, reviews official offers of employment and notifies appropriate staff for scheduling for new hire onboarding.
  • Create and update weekly recruiting metrics to review with the TR team and leadership.
  • Proactively partners with hiring team leaders to determine staffing needs and ensure understanding of the requirements and expectations for those needs.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
  • Directs the internal and external employment campaigns for the organization.
  • Works with hiring team leaders to ensure compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Develops, conducts research, analyzes, prepares and present company recruiting metrics.
  • Develop and maintain an excellent relationship with internal team leaders and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals.
  • Source and recruit candidates (internally and externally) using a variety of outlets including job postings and social media platforms.
  • Follows up with candidates and hiring team leaders to ensure updated information on the interview process status.
  • Manage and train other members of the Talent Acquisition team on process, procedure, and talent acquisition best practices.
  • Maintain information in the applicant tracking systems to ensure compliance and accuracy of metrics.
  • Leverages resources to recruit the highest caliber candidates through online social networking and job boards, community involvement, career and job fairs, professional networking, internal referrals, and local media sources.
  • Monitor and maintain advertisement, agency, and departmental expense data for tracking and reporting, as well as editing recruiting efforts weekly to meet needs.
  • Assist with internal hiring efforts by assessing teammates for different or more senior positions.
  • Screens resumes, administers the appropriate assessments and reference/background checks, suggests recommendations for hire (or not hire), and assists in the delivery of employment offers for both exempt and non-exempt position openings within an assigned area/region.
  • Assist the TR team in onboarding new teammates.
  • Determines and/or makes recommendations for best avenues in applicant sourcing (e.g., advertising, direct contact, employee referrals, research organizations, and job fairs), and is directly responsible for the operationalization of these recruiting sources.
  • Develop content for advertising for recruiting needs including internet postings, social media updates, newsprint, and other advertising avenues. Develops content for other marketing materials.
  • Coordinate with the TR, Training, and Operations departments to ensure new hires are started efficiently.
  • Represents the company to the community in a manner that indicates s/he is professional, knowledgeable, and aligned with the company's mission, vision, and strategic initiatives. Champions relations with long term sourcing pipelines such as colleges, universities, technical or trade school, community job centers, etc.

Education and/or Experience:
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
  • At least 3-5 years leading a recruiting function and team, preferably in the insurance or related business field.
  • Must have experience with job boards, social media recruiting, applicant tracking systems, and people management.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college, or university in Human Resources, Marketing, Business, or closely related discipline. Related experience can substitute for a degree.
  • Responsibilities include leading and managing the recruiting function, developing, and implementing recruitment strategies, managing candidate selection, and providing training to staff.
Preferred/Required Qualifications:
  • Experience in recruiting for both exempt and non-exempt positions, required
  • 5-8 years of demonstrated hands-on recruiting / talent development experience, employee management, along with general HR knowledge, preferred
  • Ability to utilize advanced sourcing techniques including but not limited to conducting web and social media searches, required
  • Strong, previous experience in using applicant tracking systems, required
    • Experience with Workday preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office experience, preferred
  • Leadership experience, required
  • Highly motivated, disciplined, fast learner with the ability to multitask, required
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and competing deadlines, required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, required
  • Experience with Workday preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • The employee will be required to communicate verbally and by phone.
  • Visual acuity is required including color, depth perception, and field of vision.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit for extended periods of time; reach with hands and arms; bend and perform manual tasks.
  • The employee may occasionally drive to attend recruiting events or meetings.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
