JOB SUMMARY


Provides administrative support and assistance to the Child Support Department through performance of listed duties and responsibilities. Participates in planning of programs, policies or objectives for own work group and department.


  • Receives, processes, posts/records and disburses court-ordered child support payments accurately and efficiently.
  • Bilingual preferred (speak, read and write Spanish).
  • Reads and extracts case information from court orders, enters information into the local registry, State Case Registry (SCR) database; calculates case accountings; updates changes to cases.
  • Collects monies; balances daily totals on amounts processed.
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks within tight deadlines, and the ability to prioritize own work.
  • Prepares paperwork and e-files with court.
  • Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
  • Responds to incoming calls providing service, information, taking inquiries or complaints, and /or directing to proper person/agency.
  • Strong accounting and bookkeeping skills.
  • High School diploma/GED.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, along with interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with others.
  • Reviews work of others and verify information entered.
  • Basic computer and typing skills (minimum 35 wpm).
  • 1 year job related experience.


SALARY RANGE $15.40 - $19.25 hourly based on qualifications

JOB SUMMARY


To assist the professional staff of the branch in providing library patrons with assistance in locating materials and information.


  • Good communication skills and ability to interact easily with staff and public.
  • Rrelevant work experience preferred.
  • Complete book and AV processing or other duties as assigned.
  • Assist patrons in using the public computers to access the public catalog, locate circulation accounts, and access the Internet and databases.
  • Complete assigned shelf-reading duties (keeping the shelves in order).
  • Study the databases, Online Resources, and reference-book collection on a regular basis in order to ensure familiarity with all of the library’s information resources.
  • Help in other areas of the library as required, such as doing programming for children, assisting at the circulation desk, or helping out at other reference desks
  • Position requires evening and weekend hours.
  • Assist the full-time staff at one of the library’s reference desks. Provide answers to reference questions, referring complicated or difficult questions to the full-time staff.
  • Computer skills involving use of the Internet and database searching.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, lift library materials up to 25 lbs.
  • Requires High School Diploma or equivalent and 48 credit hours of college; Transcripts are required.
  • Typing and keyboarding skills.
  • Attend reference training and other educational programs on a continuing basis, as they are available.


SALARY Part-Time $12.00 per hour, 24 hours per week
