Sr Director, Inventory Policy, Planning & Management (Open To Remote)

We are seeking to add a Sr Director, Inventory Policy, Planning & Management to play an integral role in our Global Planning Organization! This role will lead and support the development of a standard process and approach to inventory policy and planning, elevating policy setting at the highest possible level to optimize the utilization and deployment of inventory for customer order fulfillment. This position will lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of the solution to digitally enable inventory policy setting in an integrated supply chain planning environment. This role will need to drive inventory policy optimization in a complex, ambiguous, fast-moving environment. This role will lead the approach to optimize global & regional inventory policy (safety stock, cycle stock & other inventory parameters) for a global supply chain and drive ongoing tactical inventory policy adjustments in the execution and operating planning horizons as needed to support the business, as well as leading the rollout of the approach and subsequent digital solution to integrate policy into the supply chain planning environment.

A day in the life of a Sr Director, Inventory Policy, Planning & Management:

• Recruiting talent to elevate Hasbro supply chain in best practices and digital fluency in planning.
• Lead and support the new process design for Inventory Policy & Optimization leveraging current capabilities and operating within current constraints.
• Collaborate on the Supply chain academy equivalent program of Training and Development for the planning organization.
• Develop and sustain the playbook to support inventory policy setting, master data, business rules and optimization.
• Collaborate with a broad constituency of regional & global stakeholders to execute model deployment & optimization.
• Collaborate with Finance to develop a working capital model to enable tracking of t the key performance metrics for the cash conversion cycle and other KPI reporting to support the process.
• Develop the training necessary to support the Inventory policy and planning process.
• Lead the selection, development, deployment and delivery of the inventory planning system and environment, ensuring that it leverages the fullest automation of the process to support advanced analytics and decision making. Lead application of machine learning techniques to support proactive inventory management to deliver high service performance. Ability to replan weekly as necessary to respond to a dynamic environment.

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or related field preferred.
• Excellent judgment, interpersonal skills, cultural awareness and professional maturity with executive presentation experience, comfortable interacting with senior executive leadership, lead, facilitate and manage change effectively.
• 7+ years’ experience in Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management, S&OP, Capacity Planning, Operations Consulting, Data Science role related to Inventory modeling, operations research, or similar field.
• Strong skills and experience with analyzing, diagnosing, and resolving complex issues and identifying transformational opportunities.
• Managerial/team leader experience of 7 years or more.
• Demonstrated capability in making timely, difficult decisions to ensure critical business needs and timelines are met.
• Strategic Agility to anticipate future consequences and trends accurately; has broad knowledge and perspective; is future oriented; can articulately paint credible pictures and visions of possibilities and likelihoods; can create competitive and breakthrough strategies and tactical plans to deliver.
• APICs-CPIM/CSCP certifications desirable.
• Leadership ability to deliver short term objectives while designing the future state; understands and delivers all commitments to all stakeholders; comfortable at all levels & types of business constituents; lives according to and with actions representing the principles of the organization.
• Six-Sigma, Continuous Improvement, is preferred along with a proven track record of cost savings and continuous improvement accomplishments.
• Toy industry or Consumer goods experience not required but highly preferred.
• Superb communication skills, written and verbal, with ability communicate in a clear and concise manner across various levels of the organization.
