Java Software Engineer - Investment Management (Open To C2C)

We are looking for Senior software engineers(technology stack agnostic) with at least 5 years of software engineering experience in the Investments (Buy Side or Sell Side) domain for consulting opportunities with our Investment Domain clients.

Location:

• Remote(physically located in USA)
• Strictly No Non-US residents

Compensation:

• Open (All rates commensurate with experience are welcome)

Qualifications:

• Experience in software packages used in Investments Industry such as - Eagle STAR/PACE, Charles River Development(CRD), Simcorp, Broadridge, Statpro, SS&C Technologies, Allvue Systems, Bloomberg, BlackRock Aladdin, Calypso, Murex, Summit
• 7+ years of programming experience in Java programming
• 3+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems.
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, data structures, problem-solving, and complexity analysis
• Understanding of web services, virtualization, SQL, Git, networking, and distributed systems
• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience in the Investments domain (Investment Management, Investment Banking, Wealth Management, Investment Services, Asset Servicing, Broker Dealer, Trading Exchanges, Clearing House, etc.,)
• Strong understanding of Equities, Fixed Income, and Derivatives Asset Classes.
• Experience with Aurora, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL, or another major SQL database
• Experience with large-scale distributed storage and database systems (e.g. SQL, NoSQL, Graph Databases)

Responsibilities:

• Produce comprehensive, usable software documentation.
• Evaluate and make decisions around the use of new or existing software products and tools. Mentor junior development engineers.
• Design, develop, implement, test, and document embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services.
• Translate functional requirements into robust, efficient, supportable solutions that work well within the overall system architecture.
• Participate in the full development cycle, end-to-end, from design, implementation, and testing to documentation, delivery, and maintenance.
