The Difference You Will Make


As D&B Operations and Employee Impact Lead, reporting into our global Head of Diversity & Belonging, you will be an integral part of the D&B Leadership Team. In this capacity, you will help lead the development of a cohesive global D&B strategy for the company, including driving the deeper connection across Airbnb’s Airfinity (Employee Resource Group) Program, ensuring alignment across Airfinity groups and Airbnb’s evolving business priorities and needs, growth and development initiatives driving representation and retention at all levels, as well as an integrated approach to pipeline building, data collection and use, and recruiting practices. You will be accountable for the strategy, operationalization and execution of our evolving Airfinity Program, including the Executive Sponsor Program, Airfinity Lead Forum, and establishing an Airfinity Lead Academy.


You will draw on your deep expertise and capabilities, including experience in leading and building out global employee resource group ecosystems; evolving D&B programming and strategies to account for international and regional nuances; operationalization of D&B strategies and deep program management expertise; leadership coaching; skilled facilitation; data-driven program design; change management; and impact measurement. You will build deep inroads with other leaders globally in order to be able to design and implement strategies with an eye toward scalability and meaningful advancement of our mission. You will also be responsible for coaching and edifying a team of program and project managers supporting D&B operations and the Airfinity ecosystem, helping to build strategic and developmental cohesion across the broader D&B Team.


A Typical Day


  • Further set the strategy and implementation for Airfinty Program governance.
  • Oversee, help to edify and continue to evolve a team of Program and Project Managers supporting broad D&B Operations and the Airfinity Program.
  • You will be a leader who consults internally and externally on broader issues that impact communities of color and other underrepresented/underprivileged communities to support effective and innovative solutions that achieve meaningful results at scale.
  • Manage and enhance tools and process to manage membership and programming data and efficacy analyses, Airfinty communications, and support cross-functional efforts related to crisis response.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and maintain confidentiality.
  • As a D&B thought leader, anticipate and influence internal and external business and/or industry issues that affect D&B strategies, operations, execution, impact and/or our diverse employee communities.
  • Be an expert in the organization on all aspects of D&B bringing relevant solutions that create accountability and transparency; capable of serving as a sounding board and counsel for the Executive Team in this space.
  • Provide strategic guidance and oversight to Airfinity Leads around the world for our 17 active groups and other key stakeholders to become a trusted advisor in the Airfinity Program and beyond.
  • Work with the global Head of Diversity & Belonging, Senior D&B Business Partners, and the broader D&B team to develop and execute the company-wide D&B goals, D&B plans across all supervisory organizations, and Airfinity programs that align to Airbnb’s global D&B strategy and business priorities.
  • Ensure that Airfinity Leads collaborate, network, share processes, and learn from each other by hosting regularly scheduled meetings and acting as a conduit between all Airfinity groups.
  • Develop and socialize the resourcing and prioritization required to continue to mature the Airfinity Program to support specific business goals, including ensuring growth and development of employees participating in the program, increasing awareness about cultural and community differences, championing intersectionality and allyship in practice.
  • Develop, maintain and continually evolve an Airfinity Program Playbook that clarifies roles and expectations, provides guidance and guardrails around process and standard operating procedures that supports Executive Sponsors, Airfinity Leads, and participants alike .
  • Create partnerships with business leaders across Talent, Learning & Development, Total Rewards, Employee Relations, Ground Control and Comms to leverage events, initiatives, and strategies into a cohesive employee experience.
  • Collaborate across functional teams to build inclusion capabilities in every leader, manager and team member across the organization.
  • Design and lead programmatic forums and processes for business input and collaboration with Airfinity Leads and participants, including the Airfinity Leads Forum.
  • Responsible for overall Airfinity Program budget, including evolving budget approval process.
  • Closely collaborate with Executive Team members and senior leadership serving in Executive Sponsor roles to support aligning Airfinity programming and efforts with the company's overall D&B priorities and other Airbnb company priorities.
  • Create and execute Annual Airfinity Leadership Academy.


Your Expertise


  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, able to build strong trust-based relationships quickly with senior leaders, peers, client groups and direct reports, including comfort with direct communication and giving and receiving honest, constructive and timely feedback respectfully while modeling resiliency in action.
  • 10-15+ years of relevant experience which might include organizational development, program management, human capital consulting, HR, employment law, and/or Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB).
  • Experience designing and building effective, efficient and connected teams.
  • Experience in using data and quantitative/qualitative insights to inform DEIB strategy and action planning.
  • Deep expertise in leading change management, ongoing measurement/assessment of success metrics, and fluency in reporting monthly/quarterly/impact metrics/key performance indicators. Experience advising and collaborating with executive-level leadership.
  • Genuine curiosity and strong desire to continuously learn, grow and develop others.
  • Experience in Program Management and/or Program Management Methodologies; success in crafting, planning, and leading large scale global programs full cycle for complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Experience counseling, influencing, and coaching senior leaders and executives as well as general employee populations on sophisticated initiatives with multiple stakeholders, including ability to influence and work effectively and collaboratively at all levels across a complex global organization.
  • Demonstrable track record of sound decision making, displaying a heightened level of accountability, confidentiality, and professionalism and ability to balance the needs of the company, leaders and employees.
  • Expertise in conflict resolution, restorative justice, mediation and/or trauma-informed counseling preferred.

  • Established thought-leadership in DEIB with experience developing and implementing best-in-class DEIB strategies and programs with a strong global mindset; understanding of various global cultures and knowledge of global diversity .
  • Ability to embrace change with a resilient attitude and work cross-functionally with flexibility and agility in role.
  • Experience of using data and insights to inform DEIB strategy and action planning.
  • 5+ years’ experience and deep expertise building and evolving Employee Resource Group ecosystems in a functional leadership and/or people manager capacity MA/MBA/other advanced degree in DEIB-related fields of study is preferred.

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. How We'll Take Care Of You


Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.


Pay Range


$190,000—$240,000 USD
