Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior DEIB Program Manager who is responsible for developing and implementing programs and initiatives that promote a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace culture.
Working within the Human Resources team, you will focus on deploying DEI programs in multiple formats across Nordstrom in support of our DEIB strategy.
A day in the life…
  • Thoughtfully plan the content and logistics for mid and large-scale events, while paying attention to the details and solving for obstacles along the way.
  • Design and deliver innovative DEIB programs that drive meaningful outcomes in the engagement, development, and retention of a diverse representation of employees.
  • Partner with HRBP’s and business leaders to drive multiple DEIB programs in a fast paced, complex and matrixed business environment.
  • Manage, track, and communicate large, complex projects and initiatives to launch on-time and effective programs.
  • Bring new and existing DEIB programs to our business leaders, HR partners & talent management teams to drive equitable outcomes across the employee lifecycle.
  • Find opportunities for DEIB goals and best practices to be translated into readily consumable resources and programs aligned to business needs.
You own this if you have…
  • A passion for getting it right, not being right – you’re willing to stop program if results are not yielding desired outcomes.
  • Strong prioritization skills, time management skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain resources that support program execution including communication and implementation plans, training materials, and tracking tools.
  • Experience building trusting relationships and working effectively with peers and business leaders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver the appropriate level of detail based on audience.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive the execution of multi-stakeholder initiatives, providing direction when needed and removing obstacles as needed to get work done.
  • Experience leading change management efforts for organizations undergoing large scale transformation.
  • 5+ years of directly applicable HR experience – partnering with business leaders to drive strategic and effective people outcomes
  • Ability to share data analysis and conclusions in a way that is easily understood and allows others to quickly understand information that is unfamiliar to them.
  • Expertise managing Diversity and Inclusion programs, talent strategies for a diverse representation of employees, or implementation of DEIB programs in organizations.
Additional Qualifications…
  • This is a work from home-based role - All candidates must be located within 50 miles of a Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack.
