Job Description
Description

Sprout Social is looking to hire a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Engagement Partner to the DEI team. In support of our DEI mission, the DEI Engagement Partner will be responsible for leading our data-driven global DEI engagement strategy, including culture shaping initiatives and sustainment efforts, enabling our Community Resource Groups, and building and partnering closely with champions around the world.

Why join Sprout’s Diversity Equity & Inclusion team?

As a member of Sprout’s DEI team, you’re an integral part of creating a supportive environment for all employees, including members of historically underrepresented and marginalized communities. What’s most exciting about our team is our diverse and somewhat atypical-for-tech backgrounds, the maturity of our company when it comes to diversity, equity and inclusion, and how much folks outside of our team truly want to lean in. This means we have the opportunity to solve new and interesting challenges through a unique lens that many organizations have yet to come across and therefore don’t have predetermined solutions. With our company-wide influence and a large runway backed by a supportive team, you get to innovate with little barriers, and turn your vision for DEI into reality.

What You’ll Do

  • Social Impact (Sprout Serves): Manage the development, execution, and program management of Sprout Serves; oversee the relationships with external partners.
  • Project Management: Lead the collaboration, planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of concurrent projects.
  • Community Resource Groups (CRGs): Serve as the primary liaison/program manager for CRGs; guide the CRG strategy, policies, programming, and end-to-end support to align with our broader DEI and engagement efforts.
  • Global engagement: Partner with key stakeholders to further integrate DEI into our culture, core values and leadership behaviors; liaise local DEI champions to further embed DEI into office culture and practices.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for a DEI Engagement Partner who is passionate about driving systemic change and enabling an environment where people from all backgrounds can fulfill their potential. They have an intercultural mindset and a gift for influencing people to get out of their comfort zone in order to build a more equitable community. They are collaborative in their approach and excel in bringing people together, driving engagement, influencing change, and challenging the status quo.

The minimum qualifications for this role include:

  • Experience balancing multiple high priority initiatives/project management and measuring program success
  • Experience program managing end-to-end DEI/culture/engagement programs
  • 5+ years of experience building and executing on DEI and/or employee engagement strategies in a progressive, multinational workplace
  • Experience communicating across diverse audiences including employees, customers and investors, while using various communication mediums

Preferred qualifications for this role include:

  • Certification and experience facilitating/coaching to any other DEI-related assessments
  • Certification and experience facilitating/coaching to the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI)

How You’ll Grow

Within 1 month, you’ll plant your roots, including:

  • Familiarizing yourself with our DEI philosophy, mission/vision and strategic roadmap, as well as our processes for communication, documentation, and effective collaboration across the organization.
  • Aligning on expectations for your role, setting initial priorities, and defining key success metrics for your role and career.
  • Participating in Sprout’s onboarding experience where you’ll gain a better understanding of our culture, product and how your role will support our mission and business goals.

Within 3 months, you’ll start hitting your stride by:

  • Beginning to establish credibility and trust across the organization as an effective champion, coach, and consultant.
  • Completing a listening tour across the organization to build relationships with employees, key stakeholders and senior leaders to surface insights and identify opportunities that drive against our forward progress with DEI
  • Understand our Sprout Serves strategy and begin immersing yourself with the various elements of the program; launch a Sprout Serves volunteer event end-to-end
  • Finalizing your recommendations for key metrics and reporting mechanisms that will be used to measure our success with DEI engagement
  • Reviewing past employee survey data and collecting/analyzing additional data to develop an understanding of the employee experience and areas of opportunity to further drive DEI engagement

Within 6 months, you’ll be making a clear impact through:

  • Make recommendations on how to improve the DEI engagement; Sprout Serves initiatives that we currently have in flight and suggest new ones
  • Communicate our DEI engagement strategy and associated progress to the organization through a variety of methods such as quarterly written DEI updates or presenting at company meetings
  • Take ownership of priorities, end-to-end
  • Have your first performance conversation, where you’ll discuss your accomplishments and work together to build goals for your professional growth

Within 12 months, you’ll make this role your own by:

  • Follow DEI/Social Impact trends and make recommendations on how we can continue to enhance our DEI/Sprout Serves strategy.
  • Play a key role in our DEI annual strategic planning process

Of course what is outlined above is the ideal timeline, but things may shift based on business needs and other projects and tasks could be added at the discretion of your manager.

Sprout maintains a remote workforce in many places in the United States. However, we are not set up in all states, so please look at the drop-down box in our application to see whether your state is listed. Few roles require an office setting. If your position requires a physical presence in a Sprout office, it will be evident in the job listing and your offer letter.

The base pay range for this role is $74,880.00 to $93,600.00 USD annually. Individual base pay is based on various factors, including relevant experience and skills, the responsibility of the role, and job duties/requirements. In addition to base pay, some Sales and Success roles can earn sales incentives.

Sprout’s compensation ranges are intentionally broad to allow for our team members' growth within their role. These ranges were determined by a market-based compensation approach; we used data from trusted third-party compensation sources to set equitable, consistent and competitive ranges. We also evaluate compensation bi-annually, identify any changes in the market and make adjustments to our ranges and existing employee compensation as needed.

Base pay is only one element of an employee's total compensation at Sprout. Every Sprout team member has an opportunity to receive restricted stock units (RSUs) under Sprout’s equity plan. Employees (and their dependents) are covered by medical, dental, vision, basic life, accidental death, and dismemberment insurance, and Modern Health (a wellness benefit). Employees are able to enroll in Sprout’s company’s 401k plan, in which Sprout will match 50% of your contributions up to 6% with a maximum contribution. Sprout offers “Flexible Paid Time Off” and ten paid holidays. We have outlined the various components to an employee’s full compensation package here to help you to understand our total rewards package.
