Partner & Marketing Events Senior Manager (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion)

EAB Seramount is a strategic business dedicated to advancing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the workplace.

We serve forward thinking organizations with integrated tools that provide a strategic and holistic map for setting new standards for workplace culture. Over the past four decades we’ve built deep, data-powered intelligence on the employee experience, which allows us to address specific client workplace challenges related to DE&I. We excel in serving as our members’ go to partner in developing and progressing their diversity and inclusion strategies. Our business is in growth mode and offers the right person the opportunity to be part of a diverse, dynamic, creative, and highly skilled team partnering with leading companies to advance more inclusive corporate cultures.

The Seramount Events Team produces more than 35 in-person and virtual DEI-focused events each year. We are seeking an Events Senior Manager to join our team who is passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion and capable of “owning” each event they program from start to finish. This role is responsible for managing multiple projects and being a critical interface to internal and external stakeholders including speakers, clients, and vendors to create best in class DEI events.

The current opportunity may be based in EAB’s Washington, D.C. office; Richmond, VA office; or is open to remote work within the continental U.S. This role typically requires ~20% travel. Please note that this role is also posted at the Associate Director level; applicants are being considered at multiple levels for the one current opening.

  • Create run of show and scripts for events
  • Collaborate with broader Seramount team to identify and align topics/themes for events
  • Research and secure best in class, subject matter experts and thought leaders for all events
  • Continue to look for ways to create new and impactful learning experiences for participants
  • Project manage and prepare all event speakers and moderators/facilitators efficiently and effectively

Basic Qualifications

  • 3-4+ years of experience for Senior Manager level
  • Demonstrated success delivering customer service both to internal and external organizational clients
  • Proven creative problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel 20%
  • Possesses strong attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to manage multi-vendor contracts
  • Ability to oversee complex and multi-faceted processes and projects
  • Proven success in managing events with clients

Ideal Qualifications

  • Ability to upward manage executive level colleagues
  • Knowledge of and passion for diversity, equity and inclusion
  • Experience developing personal organization tactics to meet business goals
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to overcome challenges and obstacles in the moment
  • Commitment to valuing diversity, practicing inclusive behaviors, and contributing to an equitable working and continual learning environment in support of EAB’s DE&I Promise
  • Experience working in a team environment, as well as autonomously

If you’ve reached this section of the job description and are unsure of whether to apply, please do! At EAB, we welcome diversity of background and experience. We would encourage you to submit an application if this is a role you would be passionate about doing every day.
