Position Summary:

Points of Light works with companies across industries, geographies, and size to develop and reimagine their corporate social responsibility (CSR) and social impact programs. The Manager will act as consultant for a portfolio of corporate partners, leading ongoing or short-term engagements specific to the corporate partner’s social impact goals. Examples include developing toolkits that equip employees to plan team volunteer projects, conducting focus groups to assess program health and opportunities, designing recognition strategies, completing a landscape assessment, and developing a volunteer time off policy.


The successful candidate must possess CSR program experience in either a corporate or nonprofit setting; excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills; keen attention to detail and experience in project management; experience managing relationships across sectors; and a passion for social sector work.


Position Functions and Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on corporate CSR programs, trends and best practices to bring fresh thinking and research-based solutions to our clients.
  • Work closely with a portfolio of corporate partners (typically 3-5 at a time) to assess employee volunteering consulting and trainingneeds and deliver services and resources to address those needs.
  • Design high-impact deliverables for corporate clients, including toolkits, policies, and strategic frameworks.
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify patterns and form recommendations.
  • Deliver customized corporate social impact consulting services for corporate clients
  • Develop innovative solutions and forward-thinking recommendations to support corporate clients’ social impact goals and programs and/or advance employee engagement outcomes.


  • Develop timelines and workplans and manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects stay on track.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for portfolio of corporate clients, including preparing for and leading regular client engagement meetings.
  • Serve as lead account and program manager for corporate clients


  • Support the development of thePointsofLightconsultingpractice
  • Support the work of the organization to develop resources, webinars, research briefs and presentations that support Points of Light thought leadershipstrategy and sector best practices sharing.
  • Contribute to building systems, infrastructure and processes to increase the excellence and efficiency of Points of Light’s corporate consulting work.
  • Continuously be aware of, and knowledgeable about, corporate social responsibility best practices, new research and what other companies are doing within the sector.


Core Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Comfortable managing multiple projects and timelines with various levels of priorities, while being proactive and detail oriented.
  • Experience creating and delivering compelling presentations and written materials that effectively summarize findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • A self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit who embraces diversity and collaboration,thrives in a fast-paced environment, and successfully meets aggressive growth goals.
  • Experience with, or demonstrated understanding of, CSR and corporate social impact strategy and planning, such as leading corporatevolunteer programs or knowledge of corporate community engagement models and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability todesign and conduct surveys,interviews, and focus groups.
  • Ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative data and identify gaps.
  • Effective at managing up, elevating issues, and asking for support to ensure problems are proactively identified.
  • Understanding of corporate structures and culture.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to consistently deliver a professional and polished presentation or facilitate a meeting with partners from across the world.


Requirements:

  • Highlevelof computerskills,includingMicrosoftOffice.KnowledgeofCRM (Salesforce preferred), program management software, and dataanalytics/visualizationtoolsareaplus.
  • Excellent communications skills and project management skills.
  • Ability for overnight travel on occasion; 5-10% of the year.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience with corporate social responsibility, corporateemployeevolunteer programs, project management,managementconsultingorsales.
