The Sales and Education Executive (SEE) is a retail, education, and client-centric role, responsible for achieving sales targets in an assigned market, cultivating relationships, building brand awareness, and achieving product launch objectives. The primary objective of the SEE role is to drive revenue, product awareness, and increase sales while developing and strengthening our position as a leader in the retail, beauty, and health and wellness arena. Other functions include assessing business to identify opportunities, planning to achieve growth, and creating by-door strategies for success that include education, events, and sales support to drive sell-through. The SEE is responsible for creating an action plan monthly, quarterly, and annually, to achieve these targets. The SEE plays an integral role in executing the successful launch of new products including account education, promotional activity, and events. Additionally, the SEE will effectively utilize tools and resources in the way the company has mandated.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

SALES:

  • Reviews daily, weekly, and monthly sales
  • Ability to impact and work with remote stores from a far to drive sales volume
  • Prepares business reviews with leadership team
  • Plans and executes events to sales goals
  • Drives sales to meet metrics as outlined by leadership
  • Create and execute plans to improve brand ranking by store in an assigned territory
  • Develops territory strategy to maximize sell through of inventory
  • Create product demonstration plans for product launches


TRAINING:

  • Strong presentation skills both one on one and with larger groups
  • Plan and execute quarterly meetings with Store Management, District Managers, Department Managers, and District Trainers
  • Ability to adapt training to individual skill sets
  • Educate and train store staff on Murad brand knowledge and product demonstration


COMMUNICATION, RELATIONSHIPS, AND TIME MANAGEMENT:

  • Collect and report any out of stock situation to National Account Managers
  • Responsible for thoughtful spending and accurate weekly submission of T &E budget
  • Self-motivated to lead and represent Murad in the best light possible with retail partners
  • Participates and is prepared for weekly conference calls, touch bases, and monthly formal touch bases
  • Communicate season presentation to Store Management and Store Selling Staff
  • Support execution and following up regarding merchandise linear, case line, secondary location according to Merchandising guidelines and Retail Plan o Gram
  • Communicates sales and ranking with store leadership during visits, calls, and meetings
  • Manages freelance team and budget ethically


UTILIZES TOOLS AND RESOURCES:

  • Makes the best use of tools such as IPADs, Skin tools to support and drive the business
  • Uses tools, gratis, samples, education materials as instructed by leadership
  • Responsible for daily recap and assigned missions with “Go Spot Check”


OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Comprehension of daily administrative requirements such as, outlook, excel, basic computer skills, etc.
  • Experience with large retail accounts
  • Strong time management skills
  • Familiarity with retailers: Sephora, Ulta, Nordstrom preferred
  • Strong track record of achieving and exceeding retail sales
  • Must have a car and reliable transportation to and from work
  • Positive attitude
  • Overnight travel required, percentage of time will vary by market
  • Bachelor’s Degree in preferred but not required
  • Social media savvy
  • Associate must live in the assigned main market or territory as directed by leadership (any cost incurred by moving or change will not be absorbed by Murad)
  • Resilient in nature
  • Must have valid driver’s license, good driving record and cannot have any travel restrictions.
  • Powerful business acumen
  • Minimum 2 years in the beauty industry, or health and wellness space
  • Ability to pivot in order to succeed

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB:

  • 50% of the time performing activity such as lifting, bending, standing, carrying boxes
  • Flexible with work schedule 5 to 6 days per week
  • 100% of time performing activity – presentation, assisted selling
  • Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours a day

The expected base salary for this position is $75,000 to $80,000. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget. This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan, based on personal performance and company results. This position is commission eligible.
