Job Summary:


The Market Sales Manager (MSM) serves as a dedicated sales and marketing resource within assigned territories. Through the direction of the Green House Director of Field Marketing Director and the Brand's primary point of contact, the MSM is accountable for the development of the Brands portfolio. The MSM works closely with National, Regional and Local market stakeholders to add value to both the Brand's portfolio and its’ route to market partners. The MSM will be responsible for growing distribution, driving case volume, increasing brand visibility, building brand awareness within key industry channels.


Additionally, The Market Sales Manager is responsible for the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, direct oversight & evaluation of Retail Activation Specialists (RAS) within assigned territories and serves as the primary point of contact for Bottler & Supplier Stakeholders there within and the Green House Director of Field Marketing.


The MSM is responsible for delivering vision, direction and leadership to a team of Retail Activation Specialists and Field Sales Managers. This individual will work closely with the Green House Director of Field Marketing to ensure alignment and proper execution of national, regional and local program strategy, while establishing, monitoring, and maintaining an efficient and effective process of delivering best in-class execution against program success metrics (KPIs).


As the face of Green House & Coca Cola Brands, the MSM will communicate frequently with regional/local stakeholders to secure alignment of program opportunities and objectives, while ensuring program imperatives are being achieved and excelled.


Primary Responsibilities/Activities:


Lead, Model, and Build a Highly Engaged Team Culture


Key Account Management (25%):


  • Obtain cold box/”grab n go” placements where applicable.
  • Ensure proper shelf placement and order of entry.
  • Build trusting relationships with key customers to collaboratively build their profitability through the implementation of Brands sales & marketing programs.
  • Elevate Brand's profile and drive case sale velocity within designated territory.
  • Secure New PODs and acquire new accounts into the bottler system.
  • Serve as the primary contact for brand expertise/training to consumers.
  • Identify consumer sampling opportunities in support of local accounts and focus territory and partner with the local field marketing team to execute.
  • Build and maintain Brand display footprints.


Route to Market Oversight: (25%):


  • Train and support Bottler Sales teams.
  • Establish strong working relationships with sales teams by cultivating relationships, delivering business back to the bottler, in addition to being the go-to person for product & brand information.
  • Coordinate alignment meetings with key bottler stakeholders to support launch of new programming and RAS positions, brand/product training and incentive activities.
  • Update RAS Account(s) and secure Territory alignment on a continual basis.
  • Work with client stakeholders (regional and local) to monitor inventory levels to help ensure timely ordering patterns for all product and point of sale orders. Always notify the regional/local stakeholders of any potential issues ahead.


Account Relationship Management (15%):


  • Respond to retailer needs, concerns, or questions as it relates to the Brands.
  • Actively monitor inventory levels and review brand performance regularly with core leadership team.
  • Work with the Brand's team to create and enact incentive programs aimed at driving brand affinity and increasing sales velocity.
  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies in partnership with the bottler based on local market opportunity and insights gathered through execution of the role.
  • Assist in product delivery when needed.
  • Develop retailer relationships.


Strategic Planning and Programming (20%):


  • Secure all programming in compliance with all state and local laws and is in line with client corporate directives.
  • Develop forms and KPI dashboard in Repsly, in coordination with Green House Director of Field Marketing.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the RAS & FSM programs on a continual basis, ensuring execution and objectives represent optimal regional and local market opportunity.
  • Responsible for overall delivery of clients strategic and tactical needs within the program.
  • Lead the development and implementation of key metrics (KPIs), ensuring measurable program success, always.
  • Constantly identify ways to increase value of program to client, bottlers and key buyers.
  • Review the RAS statement of work (SOW) on a continual basis and make strategic recommendations regarding program objectives to uncover opportunities, based on insights leveraged from on-going program execution and reporting.


Human Capital (20%):


  • Execute regular market work-with across designated region(s) and positions to ensure proper execution and brand representation.
  • Responsible for the oversight and development of all RAS and FSMs.
  • Collaborate with GH Director of Field Marketing to ensure proper training, motivation and development for the entire team.
  • Ensure that all third-party contracts comply with Greenhouse and client standards.


Communication & Reporting (10%):


  • Ensure that all financial resources are driving the growth and objectives outlined in the Program SOW.
  • Ensure RAS are effectively and proactively utilizing Repsly and providing monthly recaps of activities logged against KPIs.
  • Work closely with GH Director of Field Marketing and Green House Finance team to develop and monitor all program budgets.
  • Constant communication with internal client stakeholders and channel managers.
  • Conduct monthly reviews with GH Director of Field Marketing, rooted in KPI execution and personnel evaluation.
  • Conduct monthly budget reviews with regional and local client stakeholders via Budget vs. Actual documentation to ensure proper trending of budget utilization.
  • Ensure program results and best practices are shared throughout program.

Minimum Requirements:


  • Experience and a proven track record of success with event planning and/or project management.
  • Extremely organized, dependable, self-motivated & ability to multi-task.
  • 7+ years of Sales experience with budget accountability, ideally with a beverage or CPG company
  • Must live in Dallas or Houston - strong geographic knowledge of the market is a must, and familiarity with the Texas region is a plus.
  • Able to work independently, prefer autonomy and can deal with a wide range of personalities.
  • A clean driving record.
  • Strong technology skills – specifically knowledge in Microsoft Office programs, experience with internet research and social media.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including some early mornings, nights and weekends and some travel.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience training & managing a team.
  • BS/BA in Business, Marketing, or a related major.
  • Experienced with project management and strategic problem-solving.

Salary Range: $85,000-$93,000 per year


Car allowance: $600.00


Communication allowance: $150.00


Bonus: 10% (Potential)
