Job Summary
In this role the Regional Director will lead a team of Area Managers and District Managers to deliver on operational excellence through execution at the store level. This individual will be responsible for up to 150 store locations and accountable for delivering a customer experience consistently that represents the brand of Daiso while also leading their teams through a period of accelerated growth and transformational change. This role has full P&L responsibility and accountability for their assigned region.
Essential Job Duties
• Leads the team to deliver store standards through store and district tours, meetings, and exceeding goal expectations.
• Teaches and develops direct reports on business and process, balancing both functional and strategic expectations.
• Responsible for building a talent pipeline for the future growth of the company.
• Sets and delivers high operational expectations for self and for others, leading through influence and mentorship.
• Leads through unprecedented change serving as an inspirational leader who clearly communicates as a conduit between the HQ and the field operations teams.
• Delivered on the Operations "Run great stores" strategy.
• Executes corporate objectives bringing goals to life at the store and district level.
• Addresses performance and strategic planning for the future needs of Daiso in their assigned Region.
• Provides visions, direction, and accountability to the team to deliver outcomes which result in a positive customer experience, driving sales and profit.
• Coordinates and partners with the Chief Operations Officer to represent regional concerns and issues to senior management across functions.
• Provides advice and counsel to Area Managers and District Managers on appropriate action plans and activities to meet operational and financial goals.
• Drives a team focus on continually improving, revising, and maintaining customer service and retail execution policies and procedures related to all retail operations.
• Accelerates the pace of change and improvement of the regional team.
Required Education, Certifications and Work-Related Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in business operations, or related field preferred.
• 8-10 Years’ experience in the retail industry
• 3-5 years as a people manager, leading operations of multiple retail stores.

• Has the authority to direct managers with functional area responsibilities. Has the direct responsibility to undertake the following employment actions: hiring, termination, corrective action, and performance reviews.
• Decisions have significant, broad implications for the management and operation of a major department or multiple departments. Job contributes to decisions on the overall strategy and direction of DAISO.
