**Position Overview:**
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to join our dynamic team as we expand our presence in the midwest. As the Regional Sales Manager for Food Innovations, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans to promote and distribute our products through broker networks within your designated region. Your primary focus will be on driving revenue growth, building strong partnerships with our partnered brokers, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
**Responsibilities:**
1. **Sales Strategy and Execution:** Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies that align with the company's overall objectives. Work closely with the senior management team to set sales targets and objectives for the region. Execute these strategies effectively to achieve sales goals and maximize market penetration.
2. **Broker Network Management:** Manage a network of brokers and sales representatives within the region. Build strong relationships with brokers to promote our products and ensure thier engagement in driving sales.
3. **Market Research and Analysis:** Conduct thorough market research to identify potential business opportunities, market trends, and customer preferences. Utilize this information to fine-tune sales strategies and stay ahead of competitors.
4. **Client Relationship Management:** Cultivate and maintain excellent relationships with key clients, including food retailers, wholesalers, and distributors. Provide exceptional customer service and address client inquiries and concerns promptly.
5. **Sales Training and Development:** Organize and conduct training sessions for brokers and sales representatives to educate them on our product offerings, unique selling points, and sales techniques. Ensure they are equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to succeed.
6. **Sales Performance Monitoring:** Track and analyze sales data, performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) regularly. Use this data to assess the effectiveness of sales strategies and make data-driven decisions to improve results.
7. **Forecasting and Reporting:** Prepare accurate sales forecasts and progress reports for the senior management team. Keep them informed about sales performance, market trends, and challenges faced within the region.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
- Proven experience as a Regional Sales Manager or in a similar sales leadership role within the food industry.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and brokers.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience in the Food and Beverage industry
- Experience with CRM (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce, OnePage)
