Job Description

About us

Go City is the largest multi-attraction pass company in the world operating in 30+ global cities with over 65% market share. We were formed in early 2017 through the merger of three separate entities, London-based (Leisure Pass Group), Boston-based (Smart Destinations) and New York Pass, each of which offered passes allowing travellers to visit attractions in different geographic markets. The technological expertise and commercial reach of the combined entity has forged a clear global leader in an attractive segment of the e-tourism market. We are backed by highly successful Private Equity firm Exponent and headquartered in London with a team of over 150. With a heavy investment in the technology teams this year, we have ambitious plans to drive the business' continued profitable growth. Go City is excited for like-minded, problem-solving individuals to join our transformation and make their mark on our future.

We listen to our customers, our partners, and our team, to help improve our business every day. And that's where you come in! For more information and a sneak at our product, take a look at www.gocity.com

About the Role

Regional Director, Southern California

Full time

USA (remote), with homebase in either San Diego or Los Angeles

Reporting line: Senior Vice President of Destination and Partner Development - Americas

Summary of the role but also what our team are up to:

As Regional Director, your primary responsibility will be to develop, onboard, maintain, and retain a high-quality portfolio of attractions and experiences, ensuring that our local customers see and experience the best of everything that your assigned destination has to offer. An integral part of the role will be to maintain a full understanding of the p&l of your market(s), while working to increase profitability through ongoing analysis and partnership efforts. You'll be working closely with attraction partners to provide market data and incremental customer insights to align our mutual goals.

This role is key to the Commercial department, which ensures that Go City's global customer's expectations are exceeded when visiting a Go City destination, while simultaneously balancing the commercial interests of our operation. Being the destination expert, you will be the face of Go City to our attraction partners and will bridge the gap between their needs and ours.

This role will manage the Southern California market, although you should be open to any expansion of this remit.

What you'll do/ be helping us to do

Under the breadth and understanding of Go City's multi-attraction pass offerings, pass management systems, proprietary market insights, and being local experts, Regional Directors will:

● Develop and sustain strategic partner relationships by utilizing Go City's market insights and relevant external data insights. Providing strategy, revenue opportunities, and marketing opportunities with a consultative and analytical approach.

● Provide strategic high-touch account management principles to top-tier attractions, while managing mid and long-tail partners through low-touch account management principles.

● Maintain a full understanding of the p&l of your market(s) through ongoing analysis; raise any red flags that pose a risk to the financials of the business and implement solutions to mitigate these risks.

Develop business cases for development or improvement of Go City product(s) in your market(s) to increase profitability for the business and/or improve the customer or partner journey.

● Ensure that all rates, inventory, and content are consistently optimized on the Go City platform.

● Provide insights into Go City's technology offering of integrations as needed from both the customer and partner perspective.

● Build the portfolio of local attractions by introducing new attraction prospects into Go City's ecosystem and retaining key partnerships.

● Secure competitive rates and inventory during high demand periods to meet Go City's customer expectations and optimize Costs of Goods Sold.

● Secure deals and promotions throughout the year as needed to support Go City's merchandizing, and marketing initiatives.

● Build and oversee budgetary needs for your respective territory.

● Maintain a consistent presence in the field to frequently meet with partners, test Go City products, conduct market research, attend networking events, and develop sales opportunities. This may require travel and sometimes outside of business hours.

● Serve as the local "expert" for the destination landscape in your market(s), including having a timely pulse on industry trends and the competition.

● Support cross-departmental initiatives and projects aimed at improving the experience for both the partner and customer, while carefully balancing the company's commercial performance.

● Monitor the voice of customer to ensure we are solving problems and meeting (or exceeding) existing expectations from the partner and customer. Implement solutions to overcome pain points or improve the consumer or partner proposition.

● Source new businesses opportunities for third-party sales and/or affiliate accounts throughout the region. This may include training the new locations, incentivizing staff to grow sales, and overseeing contribution.

● Source, present, and execute marketing and promotional initiatives to grow market-share and improve customer awareness.

● Champion new technologies and innovative partnerships to remain competitive in the digital landscape.

● We support a culture where Health and Safety, Wellbeing and Personal Data at work are important. We are all adults, which means we expect the same in return. Each of us plays our part looking out for ourselves, each other, our Partners and our customers every day

● Commitment to live and breathe our Company values in the delivery of your role and responsibilities

● Ability to adapt and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

● You have an in-depth understanding of the attractions market.

● Demonstrable experience in the travel sales industry or similar sales role

● You are proficient in Microsoft office suite tools & familiarity with Salesforce, JIRA, and/or Tableau would be an advantage
