General Summary
This role is responsible for understanding and applying FedEx Supply Chain’s IT program management process and framework to IT project activities to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of all project stakeholders – including the customer. This includes the management of critical IT project components including project integration, scope, time, cost, communications, and risk through all phases of the systems life cycle.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develops project and resource plans and validates that all significant plans are optimized with regards to schedule and personnel.
- Project Scope management: develops and maintains project documentation, which includes creating the project charter, project schedule and major milestones, and issues list, establishing work plan, budget, roles/responsibilities and key deliverables.
- Identifies and obtains commitments from required resources and works with project team through completion of project by sustaining cohesiveness and continual progress to the project work processes.
- Assists in executing formal reviews on project status and team performance.
- Promotes client involvement and assures project meets customer requirements.
- Monitors projects’ cost compared to budget.
- Uses consistent reporting methods to create and maintain a real time picture of resource utilization and project status.
- Risk Management: Identifies and quantifies the project risk. Develops contingency plan.
- Project budget/financial management.
- Executes a proficient change management process for the project to ensure that alterations in project scope are comprehensively grasped and adequately incorporated into project financial reports and implementation.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, required.
- Minimum 8 years in an IT project management role required, preferably project management leadership. Direct and successful accountability for project budgets and timelines experience required. Experience of system design, development, or integration projects (packaged and custom solutions), required. Large company experiences preferred.
- Experience in the use of project management/planning software, required.
- Experience in Logistics / Supply Chain industry and WMS (Warehouse Management System)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to clearly convey information and ideas to others.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
- Ability to actively listen and respond effectively to feedback and concerns.
- Comfortable with public speaking and presenting to large groups.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to resolve conflicts in a constructive manner.
- Ability to adapt communication style to different audiences and situations.

This position pays $92,828.00 to $176,135.00 based on experience.
