Title: Assistant Program Manager


Location- New Haven, CT 06515


Duration - Fulltime


Salary Range: 70,000-80,000


Department: Functional Family Therapy (FFT FC), Permanency Services.


Supervisory Responsibility: Assistant Program Manager will supervise all clinical and non-clinical program staff.


SUMMARY:


The role of the FFT FC/Permanency Services Assistant Program Manager oversees all aspects of care and service provision within and through the program. This includes ensuring that the needs of the program’s children are met and that the foster parents are sufficiently supported.


REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


A Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or related Behavioral Health field of study. Assistant Program Managers must be licensed in their field of study (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) and have been licensed for at least 2 years. Prior direct experience providing clinical services to children and or families is required in addition to having previously provided clinical supervision.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Conduct all duties as indicated in the Therapist job description but with a reduced caseload
  • Participate as Department liaison on external meetings with CT-DCF
  • DCF-FFT Statewide Implementation Meeting
  • Review session notes to assess clinical skills and adherence to the model; work collaboratively with the consultant to address individual clinician’s skill deficits
  • Assist Therapist(s) in addressing risk factors that give rise to possible safety issues and/or out-of-home placement due to continued referral behavior
  • Maintain accountability of the team’s adherence to the treatment model through supervision, training, and clinical observation
  • Complete FFT FC performance assessments for team members (completed by a consultant until Supervisor Certification is achieved) and coordinate with DCF for annual agency performance measures
  • Complete Care4 documentation as required
  • Facilitate weekly team peer consultation
  • Ensure all team members attend and participate in consultations; track participation and cases reviewed
  • Maintain ongoing growth in competence in the integrated FFT FC model; Track outcomes to ensure the ongoing development of the team
  • Participate in conferences with clinical staff
  • Motivation and accountability of the team, creation of clinicians’ professional development plans
  • Participate in weekly consultation between team members and program Clinical Consultant until completion of Supervisor certification, at which time the Supervisor facilitates all team consultation
  • Complete and monitor clinicians’ completion of treatment progress note reviews at the 14-day, 30-day, 60-day, and every 30 days thereafter interval
  • Participate in one-on-one consultation with FFT FC Clinical Consultant once Supervisor certification is achieved
  • Complete and monitor clinicians’ completion of pre-assessments, phase plans, session plans, session tapes, and other documentation
  • Daily contact with individuals on the team and an expectation of immediate feedback to therapists
  • Oversee Therapeutic Foster Care – Case Management (TFC-CM) Team
  • Providing feedback, expertise, and approvals on therapists’ behavior change plans and other model adherent clinical interventions
  • DCF Admission/Disclosure meetings
  • Provide supervision to FFT FC therapists ongoing and regularly to monitor for child/family safety, permanency, well-being, and overall quality of clinical practice, which includes:
  • Complete and monitor clinicians’ completion, with model adherence, of progress notes within 2 business days
  • Monitor completion of all required child welfare documentation for content and timeliness within Care4
  • Review treatment reviews to ensure they are complete and timely
  • Ensure appropriate coverage of clinician’s cases whenever there is an extended absence; and
