Job Description

About AllaraCare

AllaraCare (A+) is a disruptive start-up that dramatically improves the health care experience for both patients and physicians by working with employers and removing the extra administrative layer of insurance carriers. This is accomplished by offering employers and their employees high-quality and low-cost healthcare solutions. AllaraCare’s dedicated team is passionate about changing the way healthcare is delivered today. Through our innovative solutions that promote the physician-patient relationship and by removing the typical middleman of big insurance, we provide greater access to affordable, personalized, and patient-focused healthcare. The issues we seek to address are:

  • Providers are frustrated with layers of bureaucracy and administrative burdens in the healthcare arena, most of which arise because insurance companies are involved. They want to do the best for their patients without obstacles and delays.
  • Patients are frustrated with delays, poor customer service, and disorganized coordination of care. They want a system that puts them at the center of care - not on the outside.
  • Patients and providers need a coordinated group of trained and knowledgeable individuals that can answer their questions, deliver results, and coordinate care.

Overview

We are looking for a highly-motivated individual to join our operations team. The AllaraCare (A+) Program Manager plays an integral role in delivering a best-in-class product to our employer clients. The right candidate will have the desire for growth as we build out the A+ team. To succeed in this role, a candidate must have the ability to work independently and in teams, have a positive attitude, be proactive, well-organized, have a desire to learn, and genuinely enjoy going above and beyond to create positive experiences for others.

What will your day look like?

  • Working closely with our Clinical Operations team to provide continued education and awareness of AllaraCare’s mission, vision, and procedures.
  • Performing other duties as assigned, in support of Sales, Marketing, and Operations.
  • Leading implementation efforts for the onboarding of employer groups. This includes leading meetings with the clients to explain high-level benefits.
  • Creating and tracking timelines leading up to implementation deadlines.
  • Carrying out administrative tasks such as facilitating meetings and documenting meeting minutes, monitoring contract negotiations and client interactions via HubSpot (CRM), etc.
  • Assisting the team with solving problems and overcoming obstacles as they arise. You will work closely with the Vice President of Operations and Director of Sales & Client Services for mentorship, daily/weekly tasks, and guidance.
  • Analyzing data using common tools, such as Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets. This would include Vlookups and pivot tables.
  • Handling sensitive and confidential information in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
  • Facilitating meetings between vendor partners and maintaining relationships.
  • Liaising with brokers and healthcare advisors to complete necessary contractual paperwork.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of healthcare terminology, HIPAA regulations, and PHI (preferred, not required)
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Innovative thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in the healthcare or employee benefits fields
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of doctor, client, and patient information
  • Proficient computer skills (mainly Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Experience using a CRM tool (i.e. HubSpot)
  • Experience working with self-funded health plan solutions (preferred, not required)
  • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and project management skills
