About Goods For Good (G4G)-
At G4G, our mission is to strengthen the community through collective acts of kindness.
G4G creates community service opportunities throughout the year to address specific needs of youth, families, and seniors who are homeless/house insecure, migrants, food insecure, or domestic violence survivors. We do this by partnering with local nonprofits that provide critical care to economically disadvantaged, underserved, and vulnerable communities in the Washington, DC area.
G4G is a young, grassroots, and volunteer-powered nonprofit that turns neighbors into volunteers. We have grown substantially since our inception in 2020. To date, we worked with over 1,300 volunteers, partnered with over 40 local nonprofits, donated over $300,000 in goods, and helped over 48,00 people.
G4G projects have included:
●Created 1,725 “We Care” gift bagsfor isolated seniors.
●Prepared 23,000 individual mealsfor men, women and children experiencing food insecurity.
●Created and managed a clothing pantry for migrant men, women and children – 1,800 served to date.
●Filled 400 school backpackswith school supplies for children living in poverty.
●Delivered 875fansto seniors and families in need.
●Collected 12,000 health-related itemsfor those affected by COVID-19.
●Created personalized Halloween “Boo In A Box” for 300 children and “Birthdays in a Box” for over 2,000 children and their familiesliving in shelters to help them celebrate these special occasions.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program and Youth Engagement Manager will be responsible for development, coordination, and implementation of some of G4G’s programming and youth engagement. Working alongside the Executive Director, nonprofit partners and volunteers, the Program and Youth Engagement Manager will ensure quality programming and delivery, inspire youth and others to become engaged, and help create and implement next steps in the organizations’ efforts.
Major Duties/Responsibilities-
- Coordinate year-round and established projects, including weekly cooking for shelters and our monthly Birthday-in-a-Box project for children living in shelters.
- Expand, coordinate and manage G4G’s work with schools and student engagement/volunteerism.
- Manage projects, grant deliverables, and grant reporting for G4G’s Senior Services Grant, including further cultivating relationships with current and new non-profit partners who serve hard-to-reach, low-income, and underserved seniors in the DC community.
- Assist with planning and coordinating designated monthly programs, including monthly in-person volunteer activities.
- Support program growth and development as necessary.
- Create and monitor goals associated with each of G4G’s projects, and track progress using appointed metrics.
- Expand, coordinate and manage G4G community engagement with local churches, synagogues, businesses, and other groups for participation in projects, fairs, sponsorships, in kind supply donations, etc.
- Help expand G4G’s marketing and communications efforts to further showcase our programming. Increase volunteer, partner, funder, and community viewership and engagement with our social media channels.
- Other duties as assigned to support G4G’s work, our nonprofit partners, and the communities we serve.
Required Skills & Knowledge-
●Excellent organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills
●Excellent written and verbal communications skills
●Excellent administrative skills (including scheduling, record keeping, data recording, etc.)
●Excellent group facilitation skills
●Excellent computer skills (i.e. Excel, Word, Google docs and drive, etc.) and comfort supporting development and implementation of database systems
●Experience and/or comfort managing social media communications
●Adaptability and flexibility
●Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects, while maintaining strong attention to detail
●Self-motivated, self-starter who takes initiative and works well independently and as part of a team
●Ability to think creatively, initiate and manage projects, solve problems, and follow through on plans
●Sense of humor!
Qualifications-
●Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in a related field of nonprofit, psychology, education, social work or youth development
●Local (DMV) residents encouraged to apply
●Experience working with youth and/or volunteer populations
●Minimum of one year commitment
●Must have a car to be used during work hours
Salary & Benefits-
●Pay is up to $60,000/year ($25-$28/hour commensurate with experience)
●Position is for 40 hours a week (75% in person, 25% remote)
●Position is a 1099 (independent contractor) paid position and offers no benefits
