Position Details
The tour of duty for this position is Monday Through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm. This position may include hybrid work flexibilities.
Position Salary
The annual salary range is $80,000 to $85,000 and will be commensurate with experience along with a competitive benefits package that includes a transit subsidy, student loan repayment, professional development allowance, annual and sick leave, and health, dental, and vision insurance.
Position Description
The Office of Diversity and Inclusion within the U.S. House of Representatives (House or USHR) is a non-partisan and non-legislative support office that is designed to help employing offices create and cultivate a congressional workforce within the USHR that reflects the American people. The office envisions to serve as an essential resource in helping to advance representation in the congressional workforce by delivering optimal services to the House community. In addition to maintaining capabilities for communications, operations, and financial management, the office provides candidate services, member services, research and data analytics, professional development, and programming as its primary service offerings.
ODI is currently hiring a LinkedIn Recruiter Program Manager as part of the Candidate Services Team. The primary duties for this position include management of the House LinkedIn Recruiter Pilot Program and the official platform for the U.S. House of Representatives on LinkedIn, as well as, but not limited to:
- Helping to manage internal and external correspondence, to include oversight of the office’s virtual mailboxes
- Engaging in strategic recruitment activities, such as career fairs and/or festivals, to include convenings spanning both the Washington, DC and district areas
- Demonstrating a customer-service orientation through an ability to work harmoniously within a representative workplace and a willingness to work flexible hours (as needed)
- Interfacing with various internal and external stakeholders, to include senior leadership across various employing offices, such as Member, Leadership, Committee, District, and Support Offices
- Helping to conduct qualitative and/or quantitative assessments to measure the level of effectiveness, efficacy, efficiency, and engagement with the pilot program and platform
- Leveraging internal and/or external resume repositories to help identify a pipeline of representatives and qualified talent
- Consulting with employing offices to develop strategic human capital deliverables, such as workload plans, professional development plans, career mobility pathways, and position descriptions
- Developing deliverables to translate information to various audiences, such as strategic plans, monthly and/or annual reports, briefing decks, user experience reports, and decision memorandums
- Providing social media management for the pilot program and platform, to include helping to develop postings for vacancy announcements and measure end-user engagement metrics
- Serving as a liaison with contracted vendors
- Fulfilling other duties as assigned
- Providing candidate services to potential candidates, to include in-person and/or virtual workshops on resume resumes, mock interviews, and profile reviews
- Supporting mixed method data collections to measure data points across the applicantand/or employee lifecycle
The ideal candidate will have demonstrative skills in problem-solving, be organized and detail-oriented, and know how to work efficiently under pressure while multi-tasking across several projects. A strong background in written and verbal communication, as well as customer service is required.
Key Qualifications
- Proficient in data visualization software packages, such as Tableau, EndNote, and NVivo (preferred)
- Proficient in website design applications (preferred)
- Proficient in operating system applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite
- A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle (preferred)
- Proficient in survey instruments, such as SurveyMonkey and Voxco (preferred)
- Proficient in virtual conferencing packages, such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and WebEx Meetings
- Proficient in talent management systems, such as LinkedIn Recruiter, LinkedIn Learning, and Cornerstone
- Proficient in statistical software packages, such as SPSS, Stata, and SAS (preferred)
- Degree from an accredited college or university
- Congressional experience (preferred)

- Owe allegiance to the U.S. (i.e., qualify as a non-citizen U.S. national under federal law)
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Be lawfully admitted for permanent residence and seeking citizenship as outlined in 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3)(B)
