Job Description

Your Opportunity:


The Learning & Development (L&D) Leader will lead our firm’s learning and development programs. The Learning & Development Leader must be highly organized and adept at juggling multiple projects and responsibilities, able to take initiative to complete complex tasks such as coordinating the logistics of various training programs across the firm quickly and autonomously, able to administer the Learning Management System, ensure firm compliance with state and national learning and education requirements and ensure firm compliance with partner sponsored certifications.


Job Summary:


The L&D Leader is responsible for the following:


  • Develop and enhance the firm’s learning and education infrastructure
  • Manage and administer the Learning Management System, including tracking of class course offerings, attendance, completion, and issuance of CPE certificates
  • Gather and maintain applicable licensure information for all employees
  • Maintain a positive attitude towards accomplishing objectives in a timely manner
  • Understand CPE or certificate requirements for subjects designated by the Managing Partner of Client Experiences
  • Drive the creation and delivery of a curriculum of "non-technical" type training to firm client-serving professionals
  • Understand requirements for CPA licensure across multiple jurisdictions
  • Draft and edit written correspondence in the form of memos, emails, external or internal communications; create and/or maintain various spreadsheets, presentations and other materials as meetings or projects arise
  • Become a positive and trusted resource for learning & development with our professionals
  • Proactively, organize/manage and execute logistics for various trainings. This includes, though is not limited to, setting up classrooms/webinars, class registrations, sending and monitoring calendar invitations and coordinating attendance tracking for all instructor-led and virtual instructor-led training classes
  • Partner with the Managing Partners of Client and People Experience in the delivery of core subjects desired for the development of firm client-serving professionals
  • Assist with the creation and monitoring of firm training performance metrics by compiling data from the Learning Management System
  • Ensure that the firm’s educational offerings comply with various state and national requirements, including working towards National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) certification
  • Work both collaboratively and individually to assist with the development and logistical execution of various training programs (in person and virtual) to create great learning experiences for all professionals
  • Assist with the development of firm policies and procedures around learning and development
  • Display strong critical thinking/problem solving abilities and adaptability in potentially ambiguous situations
  • Build, coach, develop, and manage operational professionals in various parts of the country to facilitate the Firm’s learning and development goals


Qualifications:


  • BS Degree required
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Extremely professional, personable, and likeable. An overall team player with positive energy and a great attitude
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • 5+ years working with Learning Management Systems (posting, reporting and managing administration for educational offerings). 8+ years of professional experience
  • Conversant with NASBA and state board of accountancy continuing professional education requirements
  • Professional Services experience in accounting/finance is required
  • Demonstrates strong initiative, proactive planning, resourcefulness, problem-solving abilities and heavily focused on customer service
  • Exceptional attention to detail, outstanding organizational and project management skills, ability to prioritize, work with various stakeholders across the firm, and take ownership and responsibility
  • Intermediate or higher MS Office Skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
