As the Head of EDU (Learning and Development), you will oversee curriculum offerings supporting Google Fiber’s deployment, customer support, field sales, external education, and help center solutions. You will:


  • Build and maintain relationships and process to ensure courses are delivered at the right and address the right needs.
  • Develop and optimize strong workflows, processes, and analytics.
  • Define and execute a prioritization process for Education related requests as well as your roadmap.
  • Frequently work across a variety of teams including customer support, product, deployment, operations, engineering, marketing, and many of our in-market vendor partners.
  • Influence learning vendors who build or support related Google Fiber Education services.
  • Build cross-functional alignments so Google Fiber Education can scale within the business and ensure sustainable and predictable practices.
  • Develop and maintain a multiyear roadmap that aligns to a long term strategy/vision.
  • Partner with critical stakeholders at the executive and management level across multiple domains.
  • Manage a team supporting many role-based tracks in our organization and also support the success and career development of our teams.
  • Lead a growing team of learning professionals.
  • Define and lead innovative learning solutions in both the Internet Service Provider and Fiber Optics industries.


Responsibilities


  • Ability to travel required by 25% and work non-standard hours.
  • Consistently identify opportunities to scale while maintaining program quality and success.
  • Maintain consistent and clear communications with operations and strategic programs groups.
  • Manage the strategy and growth of several role-based, on-boarding and external education offerings and identify opportunities to scale while maintaining program quality and success.
  • Mentor, guide, and grow an evolving L&D team from a startup state to a mature enterprise organization.
  • Be a proactive, customer focused leader, excited about team growth and performance. Manage related budgeting and resources requirements.
  • Prioritize on meeting goals, forecasting and planning to meet agreed expectations with stakeholders.


Minimum Qualifications (MQs)


  • Experience with e-learning development tools.
  • 10+ years in corporate education and workforce development building or project managing complex training programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Learning & Development, Human Resources or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience managing a team working on learning paths virtual learning.


Preferred Qualifications (PQs)


  • Experience in the design, development and implementation of learning courses and systems.
  • Experience working with fiber optics and related deployment roles.
  • Experience with data, measurement and analysis using tools like Google analytics and manipulating data sets.
  • Master’s degree in a learning and development related discipline.
  • Project management experience including consulting and influencing stakeholders as well as managing cross-functional programs.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task across multiple projects with cross-functional partners and technical teams, while meeting deadlines in a fast moving environment.


The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $158 K - $232 K + bonus + equity + benefits. As pay varies by location, your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
