Job Description


In this position...


As a Project Lead/Manager with a focus on automotive battery production workforce development, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing projects related to the design, development, and implementation of learning programs and initiatives to support the workforce in the production of automotive batteries.


This role is on-site in Scranton, Tennessee.


Responsibilities


What you'll do...
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Budget and Resource Management:
  • Coordinate resource allocation, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet project requirements and optimize efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Management:
  • Maintain project documentation, including project plans, schedules, status reports, and risk registers.
  • Project Planning and Management:
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and proactively implement mitigation strategies to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Oversee the design and development of learning materials, including instructor-led training (ILT), e-learning modules, virtual training sessions, simulations, and hands-on activities.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses, ensuring cost control, and reporting on financial performance.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leaders, SMEs, project sponsors, and external partners, to ensure alignment of project goals and secure necessary resources.
  • Coordinate and manage all project activities, including needs analysis, curriculum design, content development, delivery methods, and evaluation processes.
  • Curriculum Development and Delivery:
  • Prepare regular project reports, highlighting key milestones, progress, and potential issues, and present them to stakeholders and management.
  • Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to source and procure necessary components and materials for the projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, specifications, and quality standards, ensuring alignment with customer expectations.
  • Conduct regular project meetings, facilitate effective communication, and provide status updates to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Coordinate the delivery of learning programs, including scheduling, logistics, facilitator coordination, and participant enrollment.
  • Cross-Functional Team Leadership:
  • Project Documentation and Reporting:
  • Identify skill gaps, training requirements, and performance improvement opportunities.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, designers, and other stakeholders, to ensure seamless collaboration and achievement of project goals.


Qualifications


You'll have...


  • 3+ years of experience with instructional design models, adult learning principles, and training evaluation methods
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Learning and Development, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of project management skills, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.


Even better, you may have...


  • Proficiency in project management software and tools to effectively plan, track, and report project progress. Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
