Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Professional and Career Development Coordinator to join our dynamic team for our Online Healthcare Training Programs. As the coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, authoring, and implementing career development programs for internal and external audiences. Your role will involve transforming industry standards, labor market trends, and career-aligned concepts into easily understandable information and supportive visuals. Your role will also involve providing career coaching and guidance to program participants, empowering them to make informed decisions about their career paths.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute career development programs for students and professionals aligned with industry standards and labor market trends.
- Create engaging learning collateral, articles, visuals, and other content for virtual career programs.
- Organize career exploration events, internships, and other career-connected learning opportunities.
- Assist in designing and recording instructional videos to provide personalized feedback for resume reviews, career counseling, and other career-related activities.
- Participate in the assessment and evaluation of sector-specific career-connected learning initiatives.
- Manage student data related to work-based learning experiences and maintain accurate records within the funder database.
- Handle communication with students and instructors engaged in career-connected learning.
- Conduct one-on-one career counseling sessions with students and professionals to understand their career goals, interests, and strengths.
- Assist individuals in exploring various healthcare career paths and provide valuable insights into industry trends and opportunities.
- Develop personalized career plans for each participant, taking into account their unique skills and aspirations.
- Guide resume writing, interview preparation, and networking strategies to enhance job search success.
- Utilize assessment tools and resources to help individuals identify their strengths and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the training program instructors and staff to ensure seamless integration of career counseling with the training curriculum.
- Organize and lead workshops, webinars, and seminars on career-related topics to support the professional development of our participants.
- Establish relationships with healthcare organizations and employers to facilitate job placements and internships.
- Keep detailed records of counseling sessions and track participants' progress in their career journey.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with online career resources and virtual counseling platforms.
- Proven experience as a Career Counselor, preferably in the healthcare industry or related fields.
- Knowledge of career assessment tools and counseling techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Suite.
- Enthusiasm, flexibility, initiative, and a strong commitment to helping others succeed in their careers.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, adapting to the needs of a dynamic and fast-paced online learning environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a results-oriented environment with a positive attitude.
- Strong understanding of the healthcare job market, industry trends, and career pathways.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, along with the ability to lead group presentations effectively.
- Previous experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is strongly encouraged.
- Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Human Resources, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Hours & Compensation:
This is a part-time position, 15-20 hours per week. The pay rate for this position is $22-24 per hour.
Work Environment:
This role is primarily remote, with the expectation of coming into the office 1-2 days per month (flexible). Further specifics regarding office location and any potential flexibility in in-person requirements will be discussed during the interview process.
