Job Summary/Company: Our partner, a national medical association, seeks an Events Manager to plan meetings, events, and annual conferences. This professional will oversee the execution of these special events, from registration to accommodations to contract negotiations with vendors and more. Responsibilities:
- Direct all department day-to-day operations and keep all staff up to date on all upcoming events.
- Establish the budget and make cost comparisons for all scheduled events.
- Manage conferences, meetings, and events, including industry tradeshows, virtual conferences, and events.
- Handle all billing and reconciliations for the department, from company charge cards, invoices and travel accommodations.
- Utilize exceptional project management skills for forecasts, budgets, and team collaboration, ensuring the successful execution of global outreach events.
- Represent the organization on event initiatives and collaborate with colleagues across all areas of the organization.
- Manage the event operations lifecycle and the development of event processes from vendors, logistics, and execution while overseeing a compelling event experience virtually or in person.
Qualifications/Background Profile:
- 5+ years of convention and meeting planning experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Extra Plus for Non-Profit or Association experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Business and Marketing preferred.
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
