Brief

We have a growing website development & digital marketing agency, Dotcom Design. We currently provide low cost websites, search engine marketing, and paid social to the trades and home services industries.

We are looking for an experienced hybrid Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) + Chief Operating Office (COO) to oversee all marketing operations for the company including strategy, vision, team building and product development. A key aspect of this role will include ongoing operations and procedures with the primary goals being improving internal efficiency and delivering high value to our clients.

Our ideal candidate would be passionate about this role and would take ownership of the position on day 1. They would possess great knowledge and have working experience in digital marketing. Our ideal candidate would possess a practical mindset with a creative business acumen and would have the ability to lead people and develop systems and processes to produce consistent outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop a feasible marketing plan for both the website & marketing department and oversee its day-to-day implementation
• Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures
• Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication
• Create & manage a solid network of strategic partnerships & contractors
• Define marketing strategies that generate value for our customers
• Establish policies that promote company culture and vision
• Work with all departments (website & marketing) to guide a unified approach that will deliver consistent, quantifiable results.
• Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
• Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth
• Build a highly efficient team of marketing professionals
• Plan and organize marketing functions and operations

Requirements & Skills

• Prior experience as a successful media buyer
• Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing etc.
• A leader with both creative and analytical capabilities
• Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
• Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal abilities
• Solid understanding of trades industries / home services is a bonus
• Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
• Proven experience as chief marketing officer or chief operating officer
• Demonstrable experience in developing efficient strategies and processes
• Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
