Human Resources (Hr) Assistant

Robert Half currently has an outstanding opportunity for a highly-skilled and motivated Human Resources Assistant. The Human Resources Assistant will be in control of a wide variety of tasks, including owning a number of different personnel related administrative tasks and providing clerical support to the HR department and employees regarding human resources related activities, policies, processes, and procedures. This opening is with an organization in the Schaumburg, Illinois area and is a long-term contract / temporary to hire position.
Your responsibilities

• Plan new employee orientation meetings
• Oversee employee database records
• Explore the internet to uncover potential customers
• Be in charge of administrative and office responsibilities

Requirements

• Experience handling confidential business matters and information with discretion
• Termination evaluation experience
• Foundational knowledge in Evaluation Processes
• Proficiency with office applications and software, as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
• Able to maintain an approachable and appropriate attitude when interacting with all levels of personnel in a rapidly changing environment
• HR System experience preferred
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company
• Adeptness in employee handbook
• Eagerness to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
• Experience with Composing Letters
• Practical knowledge of Customer Support
• General familiarity with Maintain Handbook
• Demonstrated knowledge of Maintain Employee Handbook
• HR compliance experience desired
