The HR Generalist provides a broad range of expert services at Nestle Health Science, including: recruitment and succession planning; employee development and training; employee relations; employment law and policy interpretation, compensation and classification management; benefits administration and employee rewards/recognition; and regulatory compliance guidance and HR reporting.


Responsibilities:


  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Aid in execution of the Nestlé People Strategy processes that attract, develop, recognize, and retain employees to support the organization's short- and long-term strategic business needs.
  • Collaborate with talent management teams in recruitment, new hire processing, posts announcements, job descriptions, diversity recruitment strategies, interviewing candidates and other related tasks for exempt and non-exempt positions.
  • Perform planned/impromptu investigations and audits to ensure and/or maintain EEO/AA/OFCC or Federal/State employment law compliance in practice as it related to hiring, training, transfers, or promotions of people assets.
  • Partner with HR Operations to ensure system reflects accurate employee data.
  • Manage special projects related to workforce management, strategic planning, people data reports and other ad-hoc works in progress.
  • Assist manager with execution of HR initiatives/processes/tools to include: performance & talent management, retention, employee development, annual salary review, etc.
  • Serve as liaison between employees and management by providing tools, coaching and feedback to foster a culture & working environment that is open, empowering, fair, and equitable for all.


Requirements:


  • Computer savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel, and HRIS systems. PeopleSoft or System Applications and Products (SAP) preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of Federal/State employment laws (e.g., EEO, AA, FMLA, ADA,
  • Experience in Classification & Compensation, Benefits Administration, and Recruitment.
  • Project Management experience (e.g., implementing change management projects, new services or employee benefits concepts with agile methodologies and problem-solving techniques).
  • Bachelor’s degree. Human Resources Management, Business, Organizational Development, Communication, or Industrial Psychology preferred.
  • Human Resources experience with relevant business operations/employee functions preferred.
  • 3+ years of professional work experience (or the equivalent) with at least 1+ years in an HR-focused role.

  • Experience in employee relations, workplace investigations, and managing mediation and/or complaints.
  • A well cultivated conceptual thinker that raises vital questions, anticipate problems, and gathers relevant information for resolution.
  • Superlative verbal and written communications with strengths in presentation.
  • Ability to work independently, reliably and allocate time efficiently with limited direction.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (e.g., flexible in collaborations, relationship management) with an affinity for building a consensus in decision-making.
  • Proficient mathematical and analytical skills (e.g., an ability to identify, collect, organize, and assimilate data to resolve complex issues involving people assets).
  • Must be willing and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to prioritize work and multi-task several projects, simultaneously; and quickly adjust to new situations, assignments, and deadlines in a fast-paced Environment.
  • Conscientious with a meticulous attention to details and an ability to explain complex HR matters clearly and concisely, skillfully, and with resolute in problem-solving.

The approximate pay range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
