Job Summary
As the Employee Relations Manager at Goodwill SF Bay, you will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and overseeing various employee relations programs, policies, and procedures. Your primary focus will be leading and mentoring the team of HR Business Partners, resolving workplace issues, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. This is a hybrid position with 4 days in office per week and will routinely travel to different Goodwill SF Bay sites as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with HR team to create policies, procedures, and tempaltes that promote a respectful and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Develop and implement an effective employee relations strategy that aligns with Goodwill SF Bay's values and mission
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to keep employees informed about organizational updates, policies, and relevant HR matters.
  • Oversee employment risk, including agency claims, legal inquiries, wage and hour risk, and litigation due diligence.
  • Identify training needs related to employee relations, create training guides, and deliver training sessions to employees and managers on various topics
  • Analyze HR data related to employee relations, identify trends, and provide insights to improve organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
  • Conduct impartial and thorough investigations into employee complaints, allegations of misconduct, harassment, discrimination, or policy violations. Document findings and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations. Review and update employee policies and procedures to reflect legal changes and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with HR and managers to establish and implement ongoing performance management programs. Provide assistance to managers in handling employee performance issues and improvement plans.
  • Lead and mentor team of HR Business Partners by providing daily support and sharing best practices
  • Create and execute employee engagement initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction, retention, and productivity. Conduct surveys to assess employee satisfaction and use feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience working with non-profit organizations or in a retail environment is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • 2 years of leadership experience is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in employee relations role
  • Strong mediation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing employee relations programs and initiatives.

$105,000-140,000 annually
