As the Human Resources and Compliance Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work directly with the Senior Director of Human Resources to ensure that the department is compliant with laws and regulations and use data insights to help inform business decisions.

The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $80,000 annually.
General Purpose
Under the general supervision of the Sr. Director of Human Resources, this position works to ensure that the human resources department is compliant with all local, state, and federal laws; gathers and analyzes relevant metrics to improve the processes of the human resources department; and administers the employee health and safety compliance activities of the department.
Essential Accountabilities
- Reviews and analyzes salary surveys, financial reports, and other salient data to make recommendations for employee compensation.
- Conducts scheduled and ad hoc employee data audits and works to correct issues.
- Collects, maintains, and analyzes data from payroll, employment records, and exit interviews ensuring compliance.
- Coordinates the Interactive Process for employees returning from leave or who may need accommodation to perform the essential functions of their position.
- Partners with the organization’s stakeholders to develop policies and ensure employee compliance based on data-informed evidence.
- Partners with the human resources team with the data-informed aspects of employee compensation, benefits, and training.
- Ensures all personnel records including medical and I9 are maintained in a compliant manner.
- Reviews all offer letters and personnel action forms to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Analyzes relevant HR metrics to determine the efficiency and impact of human resources functions on the organization.
- Ensures Human Resources Information Systems data integrity and provides accurate reporting.
- Supports annual compliance reporting such as EEO-1 and OSHA 300 logs.
- Assumes other responsibilities as necessary to assure achievement of established objectives.
- Oversees the annual review of HR policies and practices.
- Administers the organization’s programs for employee health and safety issues including the administration of employee health compliance programs.
- Evaluate jobs by reviewing job descriptions and benchmarking against internal and external data to ensure grade and salary recommendations are commensurate with market and internal equity.
- Conducts ergonomic evaluations and consults with departments on occupational safety matters.
- Oversees labor law poster administration ensuring the most current postings are displayed at all times.
- Develops new and refines existing HR processes and documents all procedures to ensure that the human resources department is efficient and effective in its practices.
- Ensures compliance with all labor laws and regulations, conducts preliminary research on new laws and regulations, and drafts impact assessments for senior leadership.
- Assists with company-wide salary reviews to ensure equity and appropriateness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field from an accredited college or university.
- Ability to exercise independent judgement and be a proactive self-starter.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite is required (pivot tables, vlookup, IF functions).
- Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate with multiple layers of management and employees to achieve business goals is required.
- Demonstrated ability to use Human Resources Information Systems software is required.
- Solid analytical and research skills required.
- A thorough knowledge and understanding of laws and regulations relating to human resources is required. Three years or more of related human resources experience is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal English communications skills required.
- Maintains a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification or is a Society of Human Resources Certified Professional (SHRM-CP). Certification as a California practitioner is preferred.

- Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication (in person and via telephone), at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
- Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading. Color perception is also required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Occasional local travel may be required.
- The position functions primarily indoors, with occasional exposure to outdoor heat and cold.
