Employee Relations Specialist

Essential Functions:

• Conduct employee investigations to ensure fair and compliant outcomes, aligned with company policy and state/federal laws.
• Conduct hiring interviews to fill vacancies with qualified candidates.
• Coordinate employee wage/hour changes with Compensation Team and Payroll Department.
• Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations for US and International compliance.
• Administer and implement HR plans, procedures, and company policies to ensure compliance.
• Provide support to Safety and Workers Compensation Administration staff, acting as a First Responder.
• Participate in employee relations activities such as new hire orientation and benefits meetings.
• Assist in salary administration and ensure compliance and equity within the organization.
• Facilitate and administer employee relations matters including performance management, grievances, leaves of absence, accommodations, and exit interviews.
• Assist employees and managers with inquiries regarding employment, benefits, policies, and compensation.
• Prepare for and attend Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and Employment Development Department (EDD) hearings.
• Develop strong work relationships with Managers to provide guidance on hiring, promotions, performance feedback, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
• Stay updated on employment laws and regulations.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• Minimum of three (3) years of Human Resources Generalist experience, particularly in employee relations.

Pay Range: $65,000 - $90,000 annually
