Since our founding in 1986, we have graded and authenticated millions of items. We employ more than 1,700 people across our headquarters in Santa Ana and offices in Jersey City, Seattle, Hong Kong, Paris, Shanghai, and Tokyo.


We’re looking for an Employee Relations Partner to join our People team. You’ll partner with the Director of Employee Relations to build and manage our employee relations program. This includes establishing policies, managing and resolving complex employee relations issues, performance management and providing guidance on disciplinary processes. You’ll work closely with management and other People team members to ensure that employee issues are addressed promptly and effectively, and that the organization maintains a positive and productive work environment.


You’ll report to the Director of Employee Relations and work on-site at our Santa Ana, CA headquarter office.


What You'll Do


  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees regarding employee relations matters.
  • Support the development of an inclusive and positive workplace culture.
  • Collaborate with HR business partners, legal counsel, and other stakeholders to ensure consistent and fair resolution of employee relations issues.
  • Conducts exit interviews, summarizes findings, and discusses trends and concerns with senior management.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of employee relations cases.
  • Bring the Collectors Values to life by consistently championing integrity, respect, and teamwork throughout the organization.
  • Conduct training for managers and employees on topics related to employee relations, such as conflict resolution, and harassment prevention.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to employee relations and ensure compliance with state and federal legal requirements.
  • Analyze trends and identify areas for improvement in employee relations policies and practices.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Investigate and manage complex employee relations issues, including harassment, discrimination, policy violations, unethical or illegal conduct and workplace conflict.


Who You Are


  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Experience working in a large, complex and remote organization (preferred not required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred not required)
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Experience supporting Product, Tech and Corporate role teams
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, particularly those related to discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience conducting workplace investigations and providing guidance to managers and employees.
  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR) (preferred not required)
  • Excellent interpersonal, counseling, and influencing skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in employee relations, HR frontline facing or a related field


Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $82,743 - $134,336. Actual compensation on this range varies based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including location, job level, experience, and skill set.
