Him Specialist (Sc Remote) ($17.00 - $18.00 / Hour)

Position Summary
Under immediate supervision, maintains patient files and statistics; responds to requests for medical records; performs clerical duties.
Position Responsibilities: Essential

• Keeps Coding and Compliance Manager informed of problems or issues; monitors supplies needed.
• Responsible for updating and distributing all charge tickets for new onboarding programs I facilities and maintaining existing charge tickets.
• Provide up to date spreadsheets for the auditing department.
• May photocopy records and documents for billing and/or legal services; sends and receives information via facsimile machine.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Responsible for handling/coordinating hospital EMR program access for staff.
• Retrieves patient charts for the AR, OSA Charge Entry, Coding and Auditing, Credentialing teams.
• Knowledge of various software programs (Microsoft Office, EHR/EMR vendors, etc.).
• Respond to requests for medical records and processes letters and reports.

Preferred Skills/Credentials/Experience/Education
Education and experience equivalent to:

• High school diploma or equivalent, with minimum of three (3) months of medical office or healthcare setting experience required. Medical Terminology Certification, MRT certification, CBCS Certification preferred.

Hourly Compensation: $17 - $18/hr.
