Verification Of Benefits Specialist

As a Verification of Benefits Specialist your primary responsibility will be to handle VOBs delegated to you by management. The ability to take self initiative in identifying task completion strategies will set you apart and allow you to excel in this position. In addition, you will be communicating with behavioral health facilities, both verbally and in writing, to provide updates and answer questions related to assigned tasks and VOBs. This role requires you to maintain a friendly, encouraging, supportive, and solution based demeanor in all interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Call on and look-up VOBs: You will be responsible for contacting insurance companies and conducting research to gather information and verify benefits for assigned VOBs.

2. Goal: Provide timely resolution and provide necessary updates to all relevant parties.

3. Be a contributing member of your team and meeting established goals and KPIs.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Familiarity with insurance terminology and verification processes, preferably 1-2 years experience in behavioral health.

• Proven ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Proficient in using email and other relevant software tools.
