Position Summary:
The Account Manager is focused on account growth by establishing productive, professional relationships, and achieving assigned strategic initiatives and financial growth targets. This includes identifying opportunities that develop new business, maintaining existing business, ensuring customer satisfaction, and actively preventing customer attrition. This position reports to the Director of Account Management.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for overall retention of accounts in assigned book of business
- Initiate processes and champions opportunities to consistently improve the customer experience, actively mitigating partner attrition
- Develop partnerships with ancillary providers to identify and grow service lines and procedures
- Maintain the MDsave provider network
- Analyze account data and provide insights to key stakeholders
- Embrace, promote and actively incorporate MDsave’s Mission, Vision, Values and Core Competencies in all activities
- Conduct QBRs with our partner’s Leadership Team
- Develop, maintain, and manage the individual project plan for each implementation providing a framework for the proactive and successful management of issues, risks and deliverables
- Consistently meet or exceed established quarterly and yearly goals
- Travel up to 25% or as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Accurate and timely reporting using the Salesforce database
- Understand, manage, and resolve complex issues in a constantly changing healthcare environment
- Provide accurate, timely and thorough answers to customer inquiries using knowledge of the MDsave process to ensure customer retention
- Provide ongoing training to the hospital patient access team and other clinical staff
- Develop new business from existing accounts and assigned leads
- Responsible for implementing the MDsave platform (a SaaS model) into our hospital partners
- Negotiate and contract ancillary providers
Qualifications:
- Analytical ability to solve complex problems efficiently
- 3-5 years' experience in Account Management, Business Development or Sales
- Ability to prioritize, organize and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communication, Marketing or related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Healthcare experience required, revenue cycle experience a plus
- Driven to make an impact and grow the MDsave business
- Strong listening and presentation skills
- Ability to utilize effective management, negotiation and influencing skills to ensure a successful implementation of products and services
- Must have experience working with c-suite executives in the hospital
- Must contribute to a culture that values patient privacy by complying with HIPAA and other regulations, completing company privacy training, and proactively reporting any opportunities to better protect data privacy
The salary range for this role is $90,000-$100,000/year, depending on experience, plus $30,000 target variable compensation (some components are uncapped).
