Job Description

As a Friendly Account Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of 150-200 accounts assigned to you. You will work with the contacts at your accounts to establish and build long-term, trusting relationships. You will be the main point of Friendly contact for your accounts.


Characteristics of a Successful Friendly Account Manager

  • You have an innate desire to assist customers, build rapport, strengthen relationships, and turn customers into partners and Friends
  • You understand the brand, our offerings, and our culture and are able to use them to effectively communicate with your customers
  • You are able to identify new opportunities at existing accounts and grow your portfolio’s revenue
  • You are familiar with and accustomed to using a CRM to document your activities in real-time

  • You value building strong relationships with clients that go deeper than just asking for a sale

A Successful Friendly Account Manager’s Day-to-Day

  • You will work cross-departmentally with Marketing, Trade Marketing, Distribution and Sales to facilitate requests by your customers such as (but not limited to): credit request assessments, collateral requests, delivery issues
  • Every week, in addition to reaching out via phone, you will send targeted emails to your accounts and direct them to our menu, assets, or other resources they may need
  • Join and engage in the team’s Daily Stand Up
  • Check your emails & review field activity from the previous day on your dashboard
  • Time for some calls! The majority of your time will be spent picking up the phone and dialing to customers within your portfolio to ensure that our brand is doing well for them and they have all the support they need
  • You will monitor A/R statuses in your portfolio and ensure that we are in direct contact with accounts who are past due or have payments due soon.
  • You will monitor the schedule of your teammate(s) in the field and work strategically with them to ensure accounts are supported


What Do We Need From a Friendly Account Manager?

  • Commitment to 30+ calls per day
  • A keen sense of urgency
  • Ability to effectively communicate via phone, text, email, and in person
  • A love for cannabis
  • Great attendance and reliability
  • Experience in customer service, account management or a similar role
  • Experience with documenting verbal communication in real-time
  • Experience with successfully using a CRM
