The North America (NA) Client Manager will be focused on driving client satisfaction, ensuring initiatives are delivered as well as maintaining and developing the client relationship as well as identifying and delivering new opportunities,. This role requires a strong knowledge of the travel industry and understands GBT’s products and solutions as well as a strong operational background. This role will be dedicated to the customer and part of the global team that will work closely with Traveler Care in supporting the customer.


The Client Manager role is to grow and increase the non-transactional revenue through a combination of exceptional relationship management and consultative sales skills and develop a sophisticated ability to synthesize client needs and identify innovative solutions.


The NA Client Manager will also be responsible for:


  • Maintain and share industry knowledge with client, especially key themes such as sustainable travel, responsible travel and NDC
  • Develop creative pricing strategies and contributing to ongoing client P&L management.
  • Ensure service delivery is as per contract, through KPI and SLA measurement
  • Maintain and increase client web of influence
  • Increasing profitability by proactively identifying new opportunities and delivering innovative solutions that continue to add value to our clients.
  • Develop client innovation forums, including agenda ideas and content, guest speakers, panelists, and facilitators specific to driving premium revenue.
  • Developing an in-depth understanding of key business drivers, organizational culture, and the competitive position of the client.
  • React to changing client needs and be prepared to flex to new projects
  • Lead business planning, quarterly and annual reviews
  • Proactively recognize risks, identify an action plan and coordinate mitigation actions with Traveler Care leaders
  • Lead internal and external communications with regards to GBT specific projects such as change to client facing or back-office IT system changes.


Qualifications:


  • Must be able to travel 25% of the time
  • Keen ability to communicate GBT’s value proposition up to and including the “C Suite”.
  • Demonstrated ability to create strategic vision, build action plans, set goals.
  • A sophisticated range of communication and presentation skills to present complex ideas in a simple and compelling way to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Must have 3+ years of account/client management, DAR, sales, or consulting experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively build and maintain a comprehensive network, both internally and externally, to optimally navigate through client organizations.
  • Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills required.
  • Proven innovative problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills required, in addition to project management, prioritization, and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Previous global service delivery /account implementations experience a plus.
  • Strong financial skill and analytical mentality required to demonstrate the key drivers of profitability.
  • Shown ability to quickly learn, understand, and articulate key product and value proposition knowledge in a variety of contexts.
  • Previous experience with global clients with $100M in travel spend preferred.


Location


United States - Virtual Location


The US national annual base salary range for this position is from $70,000 to $140,000. The national range provided includes the base salary that GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.


In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for either our Annual Incentive Award plan, which rewards participants based on company and individual performance, or eligible for one of our metric-driven Sales Incentive Plans (certain sales roles only). An eligible employee can only participate in one of these plans during an eligible period. This role is also eligible for awards under the company Equity Incentive Plan, which is designed to align participants' interests with those of shareholders.
