Fleet Coordinator Ii Promotional

The Facilities Management Department is sourcing for an individual with fleet coordination experience as a Fleet Coordinator II Promotional (reserved for current SDCRAA employees only).

The essential duties of the job involve and not limited to the following:

• Participates in meetings, develops and maintains cost, budget, records, metrics, reports, timecards, worksheets, work requests; operates vehicles work site visits and performs related duties as assigned
• Organizes and verifies contracted services, participates in bid and quotations processes; verifies complete service and invoices consistency with requirements; verifies and updates vehicle registrations and permits; participates in the development, implementation and tracking of work schedule, operational budget, work standard, processes, procedures, research and metrics
• Coordinates, completes and verifies fleet vehicle and equipment acquisition, warranty, incentives, inventory, tracking, utilization, performance, fuel, preventive maintenance cycle, emission, services, vehicle assignment, turn-in, accidents, damages, repair, surplus and disposal; prepares specifications and estimates; and ensuring and resolves related life cycle issues;
• Supervises, establishes and evaluates performance and development targets, coaches and provides feedback, implements and promotes safety initiatives, ensures safety practices are applied to work activities in conformance with standards and regulations; provides training, information and technical assistance to assigned employees and others, coordinates work activities with internal and external stakeholders, responds to emergency situations, inquiries and complaints

Requirements

Required Experience:

• High school graduation or GED
• Four years of fleet maintenance operations experience, of which two years include vehicle maintenance contract management
• Or equivalent combination of training and experience

Additional Skills:

• Demonstrated experience in performing administrative tasks efficiently, including accurate data entry, record keeping and maintaining organized documentation
• Coordination of safety compliance factors, smog inspections, maintenance of vehicles and specialized equipment
• Strong computer skills, including proficient use of Office Suite and familiarity with ECMS or similar software
• Experience in initiating estimates for vehicle acquisition and disposal, and make informed recommendations
• Ability to interface and communicate effectively with stakeholders and contractors, demonstrating interpersonal and relationship building skills

Starting reward minimum is $64,411

The position’s full pay range is $64,411-$75,121-$87,176
