Job Description
Role Summary


The Area Revenue Coordinator will be responsible for the execution of revenue strategies (rate changes, restrictions, package and promotion creation) across all distribution channels. They will develop, prepare, and monitor revenue reports that will assist the Area Director of Revenue Management in implementing the hotel’s yield strategies. They will work with the revenue generation team(s) in the areas of pricing, distribution channel strategy, and digital marketing to meet the hotel’s financial objectives.


Core Responsibilities


Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done! Within the Auberge family, our people always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their team-mates. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:


  • Create day by day forecasts and budgets as needed
  • Be able to influence change and demonstrate a sense of accountability and grow to a level of comfort during all interactions with key stakeholders in an effort to transition to managing their own hotel by year two.
  • Leverage IDeaS system to identify booking trends by segment, room category, and day of the week and make any system adjustments necessary.
  • Work with the digital marketing team in the execution of marketing plans aimed at both long-term positioning as well as short-term need generation tactics.
  • Assist in the preparation of short-term and long-term forecasts.
  • Deep understanding of the hotel's defined competitive set as well as the resort(s) positioning within those respective sets.
  • Perform other duties as directed, developed or assigned.
  • Creation and execution of a demand-based pricing strategy by room accommodation.
  • Work directly with key partners to ensure systems are all optimized (particularly Opera, and Synxis)
  • Review and analyze revenue reports and present revenue opportunities.
  • Perform regular rate audits and maintenance on all systems (PMS, CRS, RMS, sales and catering, channel managers) to ensure content and information is correct.
  • Work with regional and home office teams to develop and execute a results-driven action plan
  • Accurate preparation and distribution of daily, weekly, and monthly revenue reports (pace, segmentation, channel, etc.).
  • Work collaboratively with the Senior Director of Revenue Strategy to implement an effective revenue strategy.
  • Occasionally lead weekly Revenue Management property level meetings.
  • Ensuring all rates are loaded & bookable, and inventory management is correct across all distribution channels.


Required Qualifications


  • College degree in hospitality or finance is preferred by not required
  • Well-versed in revenue management & distribution technologies (PMS, RMS, CRS)
  • Confidence in influencing key stakeholders on strategy and ability to drive revenue strategy at own hotel within 18-months.
  • Independent worker
  • Synxis experience is preferred but not required
  • Previous experience in either an area or regional role is preferred but not required
  • Proficient in Excel (Google Sheets) particularly with high-level macros and key business functions.
  • Must be able to understand and evaluate complex data from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
  • Opera & IDeaS RMS experience is preferred but not required
  • Ability to understand demand,
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in the hospitality industry (preferably revenue management)


Physical Demands


  • Hearing requirements: constant need to speak on telephone and/or two-way radio, respond to the general public and converse with staff. Ability to hear fire alarms and emergency equipment.
  • Frequent or occasional need to perform the following physical activities: reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting, and climbing. Have frequent need to perform standing and walking activities related to inspecting property.
  • Vision requirements: constant need to view small print. Frequent need to see small details and things clearly beyond arm's reach.
  • Constant need to perform the following physical activities: grasping, turning, finger dexterity.
  • Lifting/carrying up to 10 lbs. frequently and 25 lbs. occasionally.
  • Occasional need to stand for long periods of time.


Travel Requirements:


  • Must be able to travel 3-4 overnight trips/year for continuing education programs and property visits.


The starting pay range for this position is $27.00 - $28.00 per hour. This is the pay range for this position that Solage reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual pay will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.
