Job Description

Coca-Cola Freestyle Director of Marketing

The Coca-Cola Company is building a networked global organization across more than 200 countries, combining the power of scale, with deep knowledge to win locally. This role provides management for the development and execution of all market activation programs and actions within assigned brands, geographies and/or channels, analyzing and translating brand plans into effective market activation. This role partners with key internal and external stakeholders to maximize market activation, drives successful activation of programs and initiatives to achieve targeted value and growth objectives, and manages within a nominated sub-function or related sub-functions. We’re looking for an experienced manager who is comfortable with budget management, policy recommendations and strategic planning.

What You’ll Do for Us:

  • Responsible for all aspects and leadership of field marketing team, including experiential, sampling, social posts, point of sale placement and inspiring the bottlers.
  • Partner with Franchise Leadership on market specific business opportunities utilizing assets.
  • Extract maximum value by fully leveraging all sponsorship benefits in contracts through the creation of asset plans that may include packaging, POS, PR, fan engagement, experiential, customer/retail, community, business-to-business, social/digital/mobile. Steward and leverage all asset inventory including tickets, team trips, consistent with Company policy.
  • Lead customization and implementation of integrated marketing communication and asset activation plans by coordinating internal and external functions (ex. marketing assets & sponsorships, e-marketing, local advertising, consumer / shopper promotions, etc.) in order to achieve high performance results on time and within budget.
  • Ensures that all Marketing plans are implemented, monitored and evaluated in line with brand strategies, while tracking and analyzing brand performance and initiatives.
  • Responsible for hiring and leading outside agency’s focused on delivering high quality consumer experiences that drive trial and awareness, as well as, brand love/loyalty.
  • Develop and communicate written briefs for use by agencies or suppliers (ex. creative, advertising, packaging, consumer promotions, merchandising, etc.) to direct their work activities in order to generate concepts for effective execution of region marketing programs and objectives (e.g., drive trial, increase loyalty). Direct all creative activation work relevant to asset or market activation.
  • Acts as subject matter expert to ensure all region POS, packaging, programming, etc., protect the Company’s rights, trademarks and investment while meeting the needs of our customers and assets.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 8+ years of work experience leading teams in marketing activations across geographies in a complex, global marketing environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business or related field.
  • Experience in brand strategy and application across channels in local markets, as well as key consumption occasions, shopper messaging and methods of activation.
  • Ability to develop diverse network/resources to leverage "best in class" knowledge, approaches, and processes.
  • Proven track record of sustainable results.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, effective time manager, and self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Must be achievement oriented and possess the ability to juggle priorities and move swiftly from project to project.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional project teams and influence others.
  • The ability to evaluate and ensure agency performance meets or exceeds defined performance standards and adheres to overall company policies and procedures.

Base Salary: $158,520 to $191,027

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, are offered.

Location - Atlanta - AOC or US Remote

Travel - Approximately 20-25%
