Sword is looking to hire a Director of Labor & Public Sector in the West Region to join our Sales team.
As part of Sword Health’s double-digit growth, we’re starting to work with some of the country's largest multi-employer labor unions, trusts, healthcare plans, and public sector entities. We’ve just cracked the surface in this market and are looking for exceptional sales leadership to capitalize on the wealth of opportunity in the segment. In the role of Director of Labor & Public Sector for the West, you’ll uncover, develop, and close opportunities within unions, multi-employer, healthcare plans, and public sectors by offering Sword’s digital musculoskeletal solutions (MSK). Through your efforts, you’ll guide these entities toward reduced costs with positive clinical outcomes for self-insured plan members struggling with a variety of musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions.
What you'll be doing:
You’ll be involved in every aspect of our Labor & Public Sector sales process, developing leads, driving to close, managing relationships, working with coalitions, and consultants, and attending sales networking events. You'll have visibility into the entire company, and work side-by-side with our senior leadership, marketing, and product teams to increase the sales pipeline in the western region for midsize accounts.
This role's main responsibility is to drive new business sales within a designated territory. The
focus is on acquiring MSK (musculoskeletal) benefits for self-insured and organized labor groups in the
Union and Taft-Hartley marketplace.
  • Work with Fund Counsel and legal department on contract negotiations (MSA & NDAs) and final
  • Autonomously take deals from the initial discovery stage to close.
  • Work with partnerships, marketing, and health plans to develop a healthy sales pipeline of labor, trust, and public sector prospects.

What you need to have:
  • Startup experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel within designated territory 30%.
  • College degree is mandatory, applicants who possess post graduate degree in healthcare or
  • Experience selling in Labor, Public Sector, or Multiemployer Sector.
  • Expertise in healthcare, benefits, self-insured employers, digital MSK solutions, disease management, or consulting.
