Position Summary
The Regional Sales Manager produces results by providing leadership to area sales staff to gain market share and achieve sales goals.
Ownership
- Supervise all assigned Area Managers.
- Establish measurements and goals for Area Managers that provide constructive assessment of performance.
- Uphold and participate in all Corporate Responsibility programming including recycling, social advocacy and MMAD volunteering opportunities.
- Develop and maintain effective sales and forecasting metrices.
- Conduct bi-annual store visits with Area Managers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Travel as needed (up to 75%) throughout assigned area.
- Identify competitive actions, trends and emerging marketplace needs.
- Create a culture where Area Managers are motivated, have clear direction, and opportunity for success.
- Identify current and potential sales opportunities within assigned regions.
- Invest in and is an example of Milo’s Responsibility commitment which includes environmental, social, and corporate governance components.
- Implement and maintain processes and procedures for Area Managers to build rapport with current and potential key customer accounts.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales reports for senior management, with regular updates on results, challenges, opportunities, and competitive actions.
- Facilitate bi-weekly calls with Area Managers to ensure alignment and commitment of established sales goals.
- Communicate clear objectives and strategies to Area Managers and customers.
- Work closely with the Director of Retail Sales to a develop a business strategy to drive sales and brand growth.
- Collaborate with Area Managers to meet and exceed volume, operating profit, and market share objectives for assigned territories.
Qualifications
- Applicants must have strong experience with Internet based software and Office 365 applications including but not limited to Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have extensive knowledge and experience with presentations, communication and closing skills.
- Applicants must have supervisory or management experience with a proven record of achievement in a prior sales position.
- All applicants must have a B.A. or B.S. degree and a minimum of five years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
