Position: Director, Salon Business Development
Reports to: Executive Director, Head of Network & Flagship Salons
Overall: Craft and lead strategic direction for Flagship Salon in partnership with ED, Head of Network & Flagship Salons Implement strategic direction through a detailed business plan to drive salon business and drive digital transformation. Create and ensure all aspects of the salon operations consistently provide a high touch and inclusive experience for all clients. Work closely with cross functional partners towards overall brand strategy including Education, Consumer Engagement, Marketing, and Product Development.
Leadership and Development of all Flagship Talent
- Attract new talent pipeline in collaboration with HR.
- Quarterly reviews, cascading of development plans to teams, HR reviews.
- Daily business KPIs and daily development goals of all salon staff.
- Coach and develop salon managers in all areas of management with a strong focus on driving exceptional client experience and retail business, assuring the highest standards of customer service and satisfaction, maintaining high employee morale, and achieving operational efficiency.
- Lead Hairdresser/Apprentices Operation Manager and Salon Client Concierge Manager to partner on creation of ways to increase sales of services and acquire new clients.
- Implement and track a tiering system of all stylists.
Overall Management
- Ensure Staff is consistently providing elevated service to all clients.
- Ensure all employees are following all policies and standards.
- Ensure consistent customer service through staff observation and training of core competencies and ongoing follow up.
- Establish cadence of touchpoints with corporate teams
- Ensure overall salon operations are running efficiently and smoothly.
- Work with relevant cross functional departments to cascade all corporate strategies.
Digital
- Implement development plan that all stylists contribute to a virtual platform, i.e., social media content, virtual selling, virtual appointments, brand.com content, etc.
- Alongside ED, lead the digital transformation of the Bb Salons
Customer Service and Experience
- Continue to review and evolve services, offerings, and experiences within the salon environment.
- Assist direct reports when needed handling client issues.
- Stay on the pulse of competitive salons in terms of experience and service offerings.
- Ensure Staff is properly training employees in all areas and are always offering great customer service
Education & Culture
- Partner with Salon HR in evolving the code of conduct handbook and work to implement new ways of working.
- Establish a cadence of team meetings to drive further engagement.
- Build a culture of team development, communication.
- Partner with HR to build and maintain team morale.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Must be licensed cosmetologist.
- Superior customer service skills to work with all departments.
- Experience driving digital first capabilities.
- Strong ability to create KPI and reporting structures.
- Must have 8+ years minimum work experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
- Must have strong ability to work cross functionally in a corporate environment.
- Must have prior salon management, education, and operation experience.
- Ability to lead and enable teams.
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $109,200 to $173,400. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program as well as participation in the share incentive plan.
