Job Duties And Responsibilities


The position of Strategy & Business Development Manager is a cross-functional role that encompasses all aspects of DISH media sales business, including data, product, marketing, and sales strategy. As a key member of the team, this individual will help shape and develop crucial strategic initiatives, assess potential partnerships, and foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with business leads to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to bridge any gaps. This role is perfect for someone who wants to gain a comprehensive understanding of media organizations, with a focus on partnerships, strategy, and operations related to advertising sales.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Be a thought leader and a market trend expert, helping inform product requirements and roadmap
  • Drive new partnership opportunities and work closely with Product on implementation
  • Evaluate internal processes and identify needs and develop improvement opportunities
  • Create and coordinate a Go-To-Market plan and define/track KPIs for new products and partnerships
  • Build sustainable relationships across the DISH org and more tactically - help build internal stakeholder alignment
  • Independently run projects to analyze and understand business implications of proposed decisions
  • Support Strategy and Business Development organization
  • Evaluate new opportunities and build a business case to influence Ad product strategy for DISH Media
  • Gather information and coordinate, and handle the process/operations of strategic initiatives


Skills, Experience And Requirements


  • Advanced degree and experience in Media Sales preferred
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, employees, external partners, and 3rd party vendors
  • 7+ years of relevant experience out of college - preferably in Consulting, Strategy, Pricing, or Product within an Ad-tech organization.
  • Ability to work in ambiguity and frame up scope quickly
  • Effectively be able to switch between details and “big-picture”
  • Ability to manage and prioritize the needs of multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills; ability to publicly present ideas and share information
  • Proficient with G-suite, Powerpoint, Excel
  • Must possess strong strategic problem-solving and organization skills with a high sense of ownership
  • Detail-oriented and able to grasp system nuances across DISH’s Ad-tech platforms


Salary Range


Compensation: $94,300.00/Year - $134,550.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
