Corporate Processing Manager Jobs

The Corporate Processing Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the Processing group. The position also has the overall responsibility for the daily processing functions, including ensuring that closings are completed on-time. In addition, the position ensures that superior customer service is delivered throughout all phases of the process. The position supervises multiple processing teams and team leaders.

Major Responsibilities

• Hires, develops, coaches, and mentors direct reports. Responsible for measuring performance of staff based on assigned performance goals. Addresses all performance-related issues immediately; creates a plan for success and closely monitors performance while giving real-time feedback.
• Responds to all quality control, internal, and external audits timely. Addresses and remediates all remediable exceptions immediately. Ensures that process steps are put into place to alleviate similar exceptions.
• Facilitates and/or conducts training for Processors as required. Utilizes pre-closing and post-closing audit exceptions as a basis for training protocol, while addressing those exceptions “real-time” from both a performance standpoint and a remediation standpoint.
• Reviews and discusses customer survey results with managers and staff members monthly; addresses all unsatisfactory responses by reviewing the respective loan details. Coaches staff members with process improvement plan to maintain customer satisfaction rates.
• Closely monitors and measures attainment of assigned goals. Implements necessary improvement steps to ensure consistent attainment of goals.
• Ensures the processors conduct business in compliance with all government, state, and county polices, including the CFPB’s Qualified Mortgage (QM) and Ability To Repay (ATR) rules, as well as government-sponsored enterprises (GSE’s) and investors’ guidelines.
• Conducts and/or participates in weekly staff meetings, management meetings, and events; meets with Regional Sales Managers regularly to provide processing pipeline updates.
• Tracks and monitors capacity statistics weekly.
• Works closely with the Director of Mortgage Operations to ensure that all initiatives, goals, and strategies are aligned.
• Avoid losses to the company. Must have working knowledge of applicable federal regulations, including knowledge of the Bank's Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Program and related procedures
• Responsible for ensuring that files are released from the processing group to the closing department at least seventy-two (72) hours in advance of scheduled settlement date.
• Acts as a mentor to Mortgage Loan personnel to improve their knowledge of policies and procedures, loan programs, investor guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Responsible for ensuring superior customer service is delivered with every mortgage loan transaction, files are processed within timelines, operations costs and expenditures are kept low, and operations-related issues are kept at a minimum and addressed immediately.
• Executes all new strategies and processes quickly, accurately, and cost effectively.
• Ensures that every loan is closed on its expected closing date/contract closing date, except when delays are created by outside influences.
• Works closely with other business channels in an effort to ensure cohesiveness in processes and workflows.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience

• Ability to handle confidential material in a professional, highly ethical manner
• Excellent oral and written communications skills and customer service skills
• Must have excellent customer service skills, able to work in a team environment and proficient with computers. Basic to Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook are required. Encompass experience preferred.
• Analytical with good attention to detail
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work with loan originators and production staff to acquire all required documentation
• Good math skills
• Thorough understanding and strong working knowledge of credit, underwriting, credit policy and financial statement analysis, Knowledge of DU and LP, and GUS system.
• Familiar with FHLMC, FNMA, FHA, RD and VA Guidelines
• Good judgment and the ability to work independently
• Be familiar with fraud detection techniques

Minimum Requirements

• Proficient in DU/LP and Originating systems
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum of Eight (8) years of mortgage banking experience to include Conventional, VA and FHA Loans, Bond, USDA and 203k loans
• Prior Management experience required.
