This position supervises the budgeting and forecasting efforts of the Corporate FP&A team. These efforts include leadership of the business analysts assigned to aggregate and synthesize the internal forecasts of the company into financial perspective that guide financial management, operational decision-making (e.g., timing of capex and turnaround spending), and capital structuring activities. This role is focused on both analysis of recent operational and financial performance, and forward-looking analysis that will assist the Vice President Finance and CFO, and other members of senior leadership, to develop intermediate- to long-term operational and financial strategy.

This role extends to related analyses and project management activities, which may include business development, Treasury support (e.g., cash planning and financing initiatives), and other ad hoc analysis.

Degree

• Master’s Degree – MBA or similar preferred.
• College Degree (Bachelors Level) in Accounting, Business, or Engineering.

• 8 years.

• Must be a logical, economic thinker with the ability to apply analytical tools and techniques to transform data into communicable and actionable knowledge.
• Model Maintenance: Continually review the financial model, with a focus on the forecast period, to ensure model logic and data integrity.
• Analysis/Reporting/Recommendations: This position is charged with analyzing and communicating the product of the financial model, will be called upon to run alternative scenarios, develop reports, and devise other tools to communicate results to senior leadership, maintains a particular focus of attention on the forecast implications for liquidity and debt covenants, and engages the Controller and other Finance department management as necessary to address issues pertaining to these items.
• Miscellaneous: Supports other activities of the Corporate FP&A team, Controllers, and other Finance teams, such as acquisition/divestiture support, personnel management, budget development activities, presentations for various internal/external audiences (e.g., MSOM meetings, banker presentations), and other activities in support of related efforts (e.g., refinancing).
• Forecast Updates: Develops reliable knowledge capture systems to update budget forecast models, such as the Oracle Strategic Modeling / Essbase. These efforts require linkage to a broad array of departments within the organization (e.g., Accounting groups, Treasury, Planning, Marketing, Supply, etc.).
• Familiarity with Oracle Strategic Modeling / Essbase would strengthen the applicant’s candidacy.
