Job Description

AS THE MANAGER PAYROLL YOU WILL:

  • Provide information to General Accounting, Financial Analysis and Human Resources departments as needed for monthly closing, budgeting and reporting purposes.
  • Engage with technical teams and other resources working on systems and process improvement initiatives to identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
  • Support field work of internal and external auditors.
  • Coordinate with travel partners to ensure appropriate billings and timely payment of such billings.
  • The ideal candidate also needs to be able to bounce back from setbacks and use them as an opportunity for growth.
  • The department is expected to meet strict closing and reporting deadlines, so the ideal candidate would be able to handle stress in a positive way and make quick decisions on how to prioritize deadlines and assist department members in prioritizing and meeting those deadlines.
  • As a Manager, you would lead a team in ensuring accuracy and timeliness in completing ongoing requirements.
  • Participate and lead department and/or cross-functional projects and provide other ad-hoc analysis as needed.
  • Ensure payroll is administered in accordance with government requirements and that vital government reporting is completed timely and accurately.
  • Lead team of finance professionals providing oversight and skill development opportunity.
  • Coordinate with business partners to maintain and improve travel software utilization.
  • Assist employees, plant management, HR, and others within the business with various requests for assistance and issue resolution related to Payroll and T&E .
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of payroll to business employees.
  • Prepare and Review monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to meet Company and Government reporting requirements.
  • Review various relevant reconciliations, reports and analysis to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist other finance departments as needed.
  • Ensure reimbursement of T&E requests on a timely basis in accordance with company policies.

Flexible Work Schedule – Remote Work Option and Core Hours

This role has the flexibility of a remote work option up to three days a week and a core hour schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Approximately 10-20% of your weekly schedule will be supporting the global teams outside of the core hours. Our teams work together to ensure our chosen work schedules enable our creativity and productivity as we serve the needs of both our internal and external customers.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

  • Must have the ability to meet strict deadlines and balance multiple priorities.
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel skills, including the use of linked spreadsheets, data downloads, complex formulas, and pivot tables.
  • The candidate should possess a solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Must be able to work productively in a team and independently.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field plus 5 or more years of relevant experience, including supervisory/management experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills a must.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

  • CPA and/or CMA certification(s)
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools (Domo, Power BI, Power Query)
  • Prior experience with Oracle financial applications
  • Prior payroll experience
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Power Point) including advanced functions
