Role: Operations Manager

Salary: $120k - $125K

We are currently seeking an Operations Manager to join our team in Houston, TX. The location is committed to providing exceptional service with advanced plate processing under one roof and a team dedicated to exceeding expectations. We serve customers in oil & gas, marine, heavy equipment, fabrication, and storage tank industries. We continue to invest in new technology to meet the changing demands of metal-based manufacturing. Our in-house processing capabilities include burning (oxy/plasma), blasting, drilling, rolling, and welding. We are committed to providing world-class quality and customer service to all of our customers.

This Role Will Be Responsible For The Following

• Ensure employee development and positive employee relations while displaying a commitment to lead.
• Monitoring overall productivity and implementing new strategies for increasing efficiency, productivity, and equipment utilization.
• Understands the organization's financial processes to prepare, justify and administer the annual operating plan.
• Responsible for expense management and financial performance of plant operations.
• Annual capital budget forecasting and management of projects.
• Be an involved leader for both the plant office staff and production team.
• Promote and demonstrate a safe work environment (complying with EPA/OSHA regulations). Provide continuous safety training and engagement to employees.
• Develop and maintain internal and external customers; providing best in class customer service.
• Maintain a positive office and plant culture.
• Other duties as required by leadership.
• Management and motivation of plant office and equipment/plant staff that will ensure employee satisfaction.

Position Requirements

• Well-developed interpersonal skills; the ability to establish trust and remain flexible in lifestyle and approach.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business Management, Industrial Distribution, Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
• Must be willing to work weekends when required.
• Ability to coach, train and develop employees for advancement.
• Understands how to lead change within dynamic environments across multiple geographies.
• Ability to manage and thrive within ambiguity - fast-paced work environment.
• Demonstrated bias toward action, with a focus on getting things done and making things happen.
• Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Must be willing to come in early or work late as needed.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to lead by example.
• Experience as an Operations Leader with specific experience in Welding, Plate Burning (Plasma/Oxy), and Plate Rolling is a plus.
