The AI & Intelligence Platforms Portfolio Strategy & Product Operations team drives several focus areas. The team’s mission is to connect our product organizations with actionable product/offer operational intelligence, bring offers to the sales organization that are easy to configure, price, quote and deploy and identify and deliver application value through cross application synergies and data partnerships.
Within this team, we have an opportunity for a Business Development manager to work in a talented, cross-functional, highly collaborative team to lead the business development activities. This individual must possess a strong blend of portfolio knowledge, product management, financial and operations skills. This role will be responsible for identifying and prioritizing opportunities for partnerships to expand the Command Center Software ecosystem and drive added capabilities and new revenue streams and creating the corresponding framework and business models to realize the revenue and business opportunities. This role will collaborate with sales and product teams to understand the customer landscape and needs/gaps and offer insights on trends happening in the industry and competitive spaces. This role will assess and organize our solutions Competitive landscape addressing solution span and complexities. It will be key to stay current on competitive developments and recommend actions.
This role will thrive in collaboration with product managers, sales leads, offer managers and various cross-functional team members as both customers and partners to better our offer and competitive edge. An ideal candidate will possess strong product management, financial and operations acumen, and enjoy working in a cross matrixed, distributed, and highly collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Build framework and business models for added capabilities and revenue streams, including onboarding process and strateg
- Effectively manage the business development initiatives and drive initiatives into Command Center Software offerings
- Identify capability gaps and needs across the portfolio
- Assess and organize our solutions Competitive landscape addressing solution span and complexities. Stay current on competitive developments and recommend actions.
- Identify and prioritize areas and opportunities for partnerships to expand the Command Center Software ecosystem and drive added capabilities and new revenue streams
- Meet regularly with product and sales teams to understand the customer landscape and needs/gaps and offer insights on trends happening in the industry and competitive spaces
- Maintain a high level of portfolio, market and product knowledge to maximize performance.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of business development and/or offer management experience
- Like to work in a high-growth, performance and deadline driven environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with strong business judgment and ability to present analysis in a clear and compelling manner
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong commitment to working as part of a dynamic team
- Finance and Operations experience building financial models, long range plans and pricing
- Data Analysis and experience working with various disparate systems (ordering, application provisioning, etc. ) to piece together a holistic view of key metrics
- Ability to identify opportunities for bundling and cross selling
- Knowledge of cloud offerings and applications business models
- Strong decision-making and prioritization skills
- Self-directed, operationally minded and experience partnering with key stakeholders Sales, Product Management, Portfolio, and Finance teams.
- Have a successful track record of working at all levels of management and sales teams
- Desire to learn and be challenged, self-driven and motivated
- Ability to drive definition and scope of offers for cross selling and add-ons in ambiguous environments
- In-depth understanding of Sales processes and systems (sales cycles, account, territory, opportunity, pipeline management, Deal velocity)
- Knowledge of enterprise video security and public safety solutions
- Results oriented, with attention to detail and can prioritize multiple objectives and projects
- Knowledge and experience working with Tableau
